It's perfect for me. I have a pretty much fully loaded E92, but then got an E36 M3 not too long ago. That car has almost nothing compared to new cars. Just a normal regular key, no PDC, no NAV obviously, no seat heaters. And to be honest, when I'm driving it, I don't miss anything at all, which is surprising.
And since my M2 would be a replacement for the E36, I'd like to keep the options as low as possible. I'm torn about LED because it's going to be expensive regardless, but it does enhance the look of the car and I think I'd regret not getting it. I also as a rule prefer something better than the stock sound system.

As for HK, it's too reasonably priced not to tick that box. I'm big on music, but wouldn't call myself an audiophile. However, at $900, I can absolutely justify Hk. All my used BMWs have had the top of the range sound system available, although I do understand sometimes that doesn't mean much haha |

It really depends which HK system they decide to put in the M2. It it's the "stock" HK upgrade (i.e. no L7 eq., etc.), then I'd get the base "hifi" system and upgrade with after-market. Better value for the money.

+1. I have the HK system in my 235 and while it is an upgrade over the stock system, I liked the HK system in my previous 335 better (more bass, L7, EQ, etc.).

Ditto! I'm #1 on my dealers M2 list as well, no deposit required. I'm buying my 228i from same dealer. Still waiting for allocation to build my 228i M Sport. Seriously considering canceling the 228i order and patiently wait for the M2? Arrghh! Problem is, I need/want in a 2 series now.... The cars are awesome... The 228i was to hold me over... I need more info on the M2.

seems kind of a waste of money to buy a car now to buy another in a year and a half but.... specially cause you will lose the most in the first year

I've had a deposit since January 2014. 100 bucks. First on the list.
I will probably opt for the Alfa 4C if they do a Quadrifoglio Spider though. |

Great build! My build will be similar. Only difference, I'd opt for the 19" wheels and the Adaptive M Suspension. I wouldn't opt for LED. Would definetley go for 6MT, Cloth/Leather seats, Carbon Fiber interior trim, HK, Metallic Paint depending on the color options and NO sunroof.

Otherwise, it seems like we'll have pretty similar cars!

Can't wait for the unveil. If all goes according to plan in the next 2 months, I'll have paid off my E90 and a few other debts to start stacking up for the M2 if I can hack it. Having an unemployed wife, and two kids kinda makes things tough, even with an uptick in my income. If I can get into an M2 with LBB(or in an Individual option of blue), with NAV, maybe good sound for what I got my decently loaded up 328i with a low monthly, I'd be set. If anything I'd probably put down 5k or 6k. My E90 was financed at 46k before I did a 3k downpayment, financed for 72 months, and I'll be done by April, well ahead.

Crap I have to call my dealer tomorrow. Didn't know we could start reserving for when the M2 came out. S*** didn't even know it was coming out next year, I thought it wasn't a for sure until 2017. Was caught up in the M4 process. But rather go for the proper size M2.
