FYI: 640M and 513M winter set dealer pricing

Yikes.. maybe just going to wait for the Apex GB. These prices are for 4x front wheels as well from a Calgary dealer.

18" M V-Spoke 640M, 255/40R18 99V Continental Winter Contact TS830P $4061.16 installed + taxes

18" V-Spoke 513M , 255/40R18 99V Bridgestone Blizzak LM001 $6662.04 installed + taxes

Question

I've been waiting to see what the Vancouver dealer comes up with for their winter packages so this gives me an idea. Wouldn't a 1010Tires or Tire Rack package be a way better deal? Main decision for me is square setup or not, 1010Tires only suggests a staggered setup but Tire Rack has both options for winter packages.

What is the Apex GB story?

Could not find a package in staggered on Tire Rack, but haven't checked 1010. Ofc they are cheaper but not OEM. Personally though I think 18x8 all around looks goofy as hell.

So Apex often runs group buys in winter with the EC7 wheel type. I haven't heard anything yet though, but last year it shipped around November which is a bit late for us. But I remember the pricing being quite good.

You do not need to spend that kind of money to get a dedicated set of wheels & winter tires.I paid about $2200 locally for Bridgestone Lm32’s and a 19 Wheel for my M4 that I ran 4 years with great results and looked great. We are in the process of finding out what will work on my new M2C at a price that makes sense and I will post up our findings.

How'd you swing a nearly 50% discount?

I wouldn't spend the extra money on OEM wheels. These are light and super cheap - https://www.1010tires.com/Wheels/720...d/Matte+Black/

I'm throwing Blizzak WS80 on them and the total with taxes is around $2200 CAD

the closest to OE size was 245/40/18, couldn't find good inexpensive tire in 255/40 and I have good experience with WS80 in the conditions we get on the west coast

Folks, you may want to inquire with one of the forum sponsors. https://f30.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh....php?t=1275999

I ordered replica 19" rims from him last year and had it delivered to my local tire guy.

Sorry so you ran non-staggered 18x8? Part of my question is exactly what you say; WS80 is my go-to winter tire and it doesn't come in very many sizes by the look of it.

We checked fitment on my M2C this am and discovered that a 8 x 19 @ 25p works with the big brakes. This is the same setup that I ran on my M4 for the last 4 years with 255/35 19.I think to replace this setup today with the Bridgestone LM01's with sensors would be about $2500 installed locally.

18x9 ET30 square. I don't have the wheels yet, I'll be trying them on later this week to make sure they fit over the front caliper. 255/40 would have been better but 245/40/18 is pretty much the same as stock front tire.

I got the same obscene pricing from Calgary dealers. I bought the 640M package this week from BMW Autohaus in Ontario for $2732. The catch is that you have to arrange shipping. Fortunately I just went through my place of work for shipping as it's a single pallet from BMW that weighs 180 lbs.
