2020 BMW M2C  [5.00]
After driving on Toyo RA1's, Hoosier A6 & A7's+ R6's, RE71's, BFG Rival 1.5's, Yoko Slicks, Yoko 008's, I've settled with the BFG R1's.

If your suspension and camber are setup these tires rock! Last almost as long as a RE71R but faster...

I have not, but I hear they’re not as quick as the RE-71R.

Nice work. What are the offsets on the BBS’s?

And, from your fitment tests, do you think a 305/30/19 would clear the suspension and fender on the 10.5” rear wheel with the right offset?

Mind giving details on the E88s?

And explain reasoning for rear wing?

BBS E88's were done in 19x9.5 +19 and 19x10.5 +45

305's should fit without issue but the 295's fit perfectly.

We added the rear wing for extra downforce and it decreased our lap times by over a second. Our driver Cameron noted that the car was less prone to oversteer and speed differences in some areas were nearly 10MPH faster.

I updated the original post with the info

Thanks for the response....never mind - I see the update now.

Did you install the wing at the track after the first couple of sessions? Did you measure track temp or anything to help reduce the number of variables?

Meaning - could the track have simply warmed up from morning sessions and that contributed to the 1 second gained that was attributed to the wing...?

Thanks. How much did you all lower the car in the front and rear? This seems to be the biggest factor in fitting wider 19" rubber.

For instance, I'm lowered 3/4" in the rear, 1/2" in the front. Do you think your wheel/tire setup would rub on track under compression?

Nice. R888R are garbage though no? Certainly can do much better with good tires.

Simon@RENNSpec ran 1:55s with only jrz, upgraded rotors, and yoko a052 at 3360 pounds (seats plus oe half cage, 6MT). 1:59.1 on oem 280 tw tires.

Shows the car is tons capable.

No time for stepwise stuff like that when manufacturers ship in product yo!

I have used many of the same tires!! from that group above , I have not used RE-71R or Yoko slicks.

I have in addition used Maxxis rc-1 (R tire) Continental R tires, Hankook RS-3 (the top dawg Autocross tire prior to the RE-71R) and also I agree on the BFG R1 as being the best of all tires I have driven on track.

The RE-71 is the fastest tire out there but for track use it is still a compromise. I've run sessions with a friend that is my equal on track. After 15-20 minutes i begin to pull away on even MAXXIS RC-1 .. ( a very slow R tire ) versus him on the RE-71 as we get toward the end of the session.

The re-71 and the yoko advan AD008 are both great Street tires that will not heat up and blister or chunk on track ... but a good R tire is the best option for extended sessions.

The BFG R1 last a long time , don't break the bank New like Hoosier , are very easy to run and not overheat, and are extremely consistent.

I may try the a052 or R1. I've ran R1S and it lasted seven heat cycles lolol but they were like crack.

Now I run pirelli DH scrubs and have a set of Hoosier S80 to test. It doesn't end lol.

Remember that treadwear number is a relative number. Not the same across manufacturers.

Why do you say so? I am just curious.

The local groups here are crazy about the Cup2 tires maybe because they fit the Porsche's better?
