This is how it should have come from the factory.

Now we just need the mirrors and seats...

BMW missed an opportunity with having a CF roof as an option. They could've pocketed that money, but instead some people will go aftermarket. Doesn't make sense that they have all those m-performance accessories but not the roof.

Thank you for the links.
That does look insanely involved and risky.
I would never subject a brand new car to anything like that, but the CF roof is sweet for sure.

Honestly one of those things that holds me back was there is no CF roof option for the m2. Now with that CF roof, the car is perfection in almost every aspect for me.

Car now looks sick!!

How could BMW have pocketed money from what is normally a no cost option ?

Is an opportunity actually " missed "
When one weighs (literally) the pros and cons and then makes an educated decision ? It's not like BMW didn't realize they could put a CF roof on a car. ...

What is the cost,including install?
Installation cost will vary from bodyshop to bodyshop. The roof will be offered in 1x1 and 2x2 weave. For pricing, contact me our one of IND's sales representatives and we'll be able to quote you a shipped price for the roof!

The roof is designed to only fit the F22 2-series and the F87 M2.

The roof panel is a full replacement for the OEM steel roof.

We will be receiving 2x2 weave roofs (M Performance weave) starting next week!

Carbon fiber is an extremely strong material, and the original BMW safety structures and reinforcement beams remain in place when installing the carbon roof panel. The roof is as much of a cosmetic modification as it is a functional one.

RKP did an excellent job with the roof.

Need to show both weaves though (1x1 & 2x2).
We'll be receiving 2x2 roofs next week and photos will be following shortly!

Yes-- the interior really leaves a lot to be desired. Basically the same as a 228 that I had as a loaner last week.

Remember that any weight savings away from the center of gravity will benefit the car more than the driver going on a diet and losing the same amount of weight. A lightweight battery on the other hand will help.

5kg off the top of the car? I'll take it!

It is the SAME quality as the one on the M3/M4 car? Because some aftermarket carbon hood change color after a while with the sun!
So i think its important to have a roof with the same kind of quality that M3/M4 have!
