From F80 to F87

Hey all,

Traded in my 2016 non comp M3 for a 2019 M2 Comp a couple of weeks back. I've had a ton of cars and I switch a lot because I'm always looking for something different and better. What I've come to do is look for are cars that somehow feel "special". It's not always tangible, it's just the way the car makes me feel. Typically, I buy something and want to start changing things, on the M3 it was the exhaust, wheels, and the springs I wanted to change. I way prefer the M2 non-adaptive dampers and oem exhaust. All I keep thinking is how the M3 felt like a yacht compared to this. I know it's still the honeymoon phase, but there's not a thing I want to change on this car. The true test will come in a few months, usually the 3 month mark is when I start getting the itch to change it up.

Pics for fun:

Yes, every car I get into feel like a bouncy boat now. The q7, the F10, all feel like boats. LOL!

M2 is what the M3 should’ve been. M2 is closer to an M4 ibut the rear end has a dull look compared to the f80 & f87. Had two f80s & two f90s most recently.
Now the M2 comp reminds me of my e36. No torque spike but with better turn in, proper brakes & power.

I did the exact same thing. Switched from a 2016 M3 (non competition) to a used 2017 M2 (N55).

The car is:

--100% more fun to drive
--100% better sounding

Haven't regretted the swap once.

(And I had it painted in San Marino Blue AutoFlex!)
