Also interesting, I read a recent interview where Kubica was asked about the effect a pair of rookie drivers would have on Williams (given that they have little experience in F1). His response was that it shouldn't matter since Williams only listed to about 10% of the suggestions he's made throughout the season. I was a bit surprised at first, but really shouldn't have been. It seems Williams has made mistake after mistake in their decision making process this year. Even Russel criticized them for not taking more gambles during the races
Williams under deputy Clare Williams is questionable with Sir Frank probably not capable of making the necessary decisions and with not listening to Kubica's experience no wonder the team are in bother from all sides especially with finance for cad, fabricating/testing aero parts and as you mentioned low paid strategists.
All good points. Honestly, I don't think Frank calls any shots these days. He's moved away from that role. I think I read that in an article somewhere a while back but can't seem to remember which one....

FP1.
Hams engine went into slow get you home mode after a quick lap..bit more than a CEL
..as Ricciardo's engine self ignites and session is stopped for now.
*Seb has lost the Ferrari and crashed into barriers backwards, session is stopped for good.
Max is second behind Bottas, hardly surprising as the Merc has a fresh engine with matching ancillaries.

I look forward to someone of a calmer nature replacing Croft and his high pitched over excited ranting..this man is truly over his sell by date and fans deserve a more mature presenter.
I've seen vids of the late James Hunt commentating to the point and without the histrionics of tiresome Croft. Sky ought to smell the coffee.

Surprise surprise this time Grosjean is off the hook believe it or not as Bottas gets off lightly by receiving a reprimand for causing the collision 100% by going inside Gro far too late.

MAX is King of FP3!
Ferraris appear to have a handling problem on the final section of track.

Before anyone says anything, Vettel wanted to get the spins out of the way before the race.

Seb was spinning around more than Kylie Minogue.
At least Bot is at the back and with the other Merc on pole Max is second. You wouldn't think that Ferrari World was this close to a track that was giving it problems, they clearly are not quite there.

The GOAT on pole. Amazing record this year. 5 poles and 10 wins, up to now. His consistency is the stuff of legends.

Lewi6 Hamilton, The GOAT.
