I got the text message from my dealer on around noon on Friday...and They said that BMW released the statement on Thursday night. Maybe his car is indeed not affected lol

If it's a pre-March 19 built then it won't be affected

Technically all M2s built after Jan 25, 2018 are affected, but the stop sale only affects 2020 models.

I just got the call from my dealer. My car needs to go back to have the recall done. Apparently when they tried to select it as delivered in the system it threw up the red flag.

Seems like some dealer did not follow the proper procedure but in this case, it was actually good for you to some extent since you get to drive your car They are not forcing you to return ur car, are they?

I pickup my M2C yesterday (Europe/Portugal), no recall with airbags. Probably this issue only affect cars in US.

Strange, but if you look at Real OEM - it looks like only the US cars get the knee airbags. Not sure how accurate this is info is, but may explain a few deliveries. I would be shocked that non-US cars would not have this

Just got off the phone with my Sales Advisor and after careful evaluation, it does seem that my car is not affected (infected) by this recall after all. Looks like BMW initially put a "blanket recall" on more cars than needed.

In any case, my 05/17 Performance center deliver is a GO!!!

Just got off the phone, they told me July. I told them to get me out of my contract, completely unacceptable. Shouldve bought a porsche in the first place

I just called BMW as well. Mine is still at the port and they cannot give me a any idea of an ETA. Real bummer. Guess I'll try and call my dealer and see what run around they can give me

They offered to make my payments on insurance and car until its ready, refund my PCD expenses, and pay for me to go to the performance center at a later date. Would like at least a loaner instead or something i mean come on. I didnt order my summer car in January for it to be delivered in July
