GTA Discount on M2C

Hey guys,

Planning on ordering the M2C early next year . I am thinking of doing ED for spring . Wanted to find out what kind of discounts have people got in the GTA? I have been told 7% is the cost , however someone told me they got 10% . Is that possible or total BS. Will be a custom order ( Hockenheim Silver, 6MT, HK Upgrade, Glass Sunroof). Thinking best time might be in Feb with the Autoshow credits.

Thanks!

On custom order, you might be able to negotiate 4-5%. 7% is the "cost" price.

10% might be possible with other incentives on left-over inventory.

In the same boat here. The great deals are on left over 2019/2020 (all DCT). You won't be able to get 10% for an order. Planing on ordering soon and applying the autoshow credit (usual 1k), the BMW club 2% discount, on top of a negociated price... maybe 6-7% total discount.

Not to highjack the thread, but how does an order work in the first place, are you locked in? If the dealer doesn't want to negociate when you take delivery, cna you just walk away?

the 2% BMW Canada discount is above the negotiated discount so if you negotiate 5%, and add the 2% you're at 7%. You could negotiate for 6% and end up with 8%.

When I was looking last year, the autoshow credit didn't apply to M models.

Give Jay Wong and Ben Hui a try on the discount. They are now working at Dilawri Group on the Mobile Sales Team (previously from Endras)

Thank you guys. Might be a bit stupid question but when I am negotiating the discount, is it MSRP +Option and then try to get the percentage off or is the discount based on the MSRP, before the options and PDI . Alternatively, I can find out the deal invoice pricing and then add a markup for them to come up with a good number.

I would negotiate the total package, including freight and PDI.

Trillium BMWCCA members now get a flat discount, not percentage discount anymore. The flat amount varies based on model series. It does look like 2 series only get $500 discount. I know when I bought my car the M2 was excluded from the 2% discount then too.

I think other BMW Car Clubs of Canada (i.e. not BMWCCA like Trillium) have a different discount program.

The program has changed over the years but I know it’s 2% now and the M models are currently included. Unless it’s changed very recently...

Trillium is no longer part of BMW Clubs Canada so their members are not eligible for the 2% discount. That said, they can join another Canadian club to become eligible for the discount.

I believe the M2 or M2c was not part of this. Atleast not even I bought it.

From BMW club website:
==
BMW Canada has updated the BMW Club discount program for purchase/lease of new automobiles. All models are now eligible for the program, but there is now a cap to a maximum amount.
==

This is from January 2019. In the full text they say the only model excluded for now is the X7. The maximum is 2000$ off.

Hold on, are you negotiating 5-7% off the MSRP in this case or your monthly payment?

Also does this include the random dealer fees? What do you do about those?

MSRP, always.

All dealer fees can be removed except for freight, pdi and mandatory taxes in your province.

The freight varies by province so check what's shown on the "Build your car" tool on bmw.ca to get a reasonable sense of what the dealer should charge.

If it's last year's model that's been sitting on the lot, you can be very aggressive. I would start at 9-10% off.

I've seen new 19s as low as 70k+gst (listed) but unfortunately these can't be leased.

still looking for a m2c lease takeover on the west coast if anyone has a 6speed they are trying to unload.

Why can't they be leased?
manufacturer forced the dealers to buy them after a certain day (November some time I think?)
