Interested to see what BMW's prices will be... hopefully somewhere in-between stock and aftermarket BBK rotors? If so, that could be quite enticing. |

One thing that does not seem to get considered here, is that when you get an upgraded BBK from factory, they "get to keep" the stock brakes. In other words, the buyer is only paying for the upgrade. If you buy it aftermarket, then you can factor in how much you can sell your stock kit for, if there is demand for it.

In the meanwhile I had a track day at Laguna Seca and there was on M2 in my group. The guy was dealing with brake fade big time, but he had stock pads. From personal experience, that is not going to work on BMW's. Might get away with it on a Porsche, which come generally with bigger brakes on lighter cars. Yes, the GS Vette is pretty capable. Coincidentally a buddy of mine got one recently and was at the track with it. He does not generally track this car, so it was completely stock, yet he was on par with me, and I have all the track mods under the sun. So with similar mods (mainly tires and brake pads) the Vette would be way quicker, and would be a great step up from an e46 M3. However, I just don't see myself EVER in a Vette. Sorry, but that car is tainted with "midlife crisis, old man image". Not to mention it is nowhere near as practical as a M2. (can't haul a set of track wheels in it) |

Is the F10 MCCB Gold Brembo MN6 the only caliper in your list that has a 5mm longer mounting depth? So the F10M Blue Brembo MN6 caliper, F8X MCCB Gold MN6 caliper (without bracket) and F87 M2C Grey/Red MN6 caliper (without bracket) all have the same mounting surface length? |

So, the brake pad fitment is not going to be the same as F10M blue brakes then? Seems like a new fitment because it's for housings that have only been used with CCB before?
