I doubt it, once installed it would be difficult for it to pop out.

Its a non pressure area so no danger of popping out.

Starting my install next week. Will get back about fitting and so on the Pure pipe ( and tte 550 turbo..)
I like how the pure inlet pipe has the exact same inner diameter as my turbo.

Yeah, we’ll have to get some FTP measurements to see if the Pure is worth the extra $100. It does look nice, tho!

I just got the good news that I received one of the first Pure Turbo full inlets in CA. My car is currently getting the turbo and all supporting mods installed today. I am going from bone stock to this setup, so I'm not sure if ill be of any help in terms of reviewing this inlet. However the build quality on it and fitment all appear to be perfect and it went in without any issues. Keep an eye out as ill likely post a build thread to showcase the new modifications.

BC Coilovers with custom Swift springs, and yes, will do! I will chime in on the suspension thread created comparing KW HAS vs. BC.

Just curious.. The oem inlet pipe have a bracket that you bolt onto the engine and the turbo.. The new pure inlet doesn't have any bracket to bolt on the engine so wouldn't that make only contact point is the turbo? Is that even secure of safe?

I asked that same question ... but they say that if it's safe, there's no danger coming out.

Yea I installed the pure inlet last night and it fit very snugged. After attaching the intake pipe on the inlet pipe didn't even move at all

Started my turbo install, here are some pictures of the org and pure inlet side by side:

Installing it without doing a turbo switch must be a pain due to everything that needs to be dismantled to get the original out.

Just the nature of the forum, but certainly in many cases answers more questions then are asked. But it was about the FTP inlet.

As the OP, I can say that I don't mind one bit... The whole thread has been informative, but it's still missing the most important question... What is the internal diameter of the FTP Pipe!

They are the same as OEM.
Email answer:

Sorry, my friend , I can't reveal too much detail. I can only say that if you need a big size pipe , you can inquiry my partner Belgium pure turbo, I think you will need that , they are my friends for three years.

Hey All,

I like to share the detail measurement for these three options. I moved from OEM to FTP to Pure now. I'm running the STG2 Custom tune with other items based on FBO. I wasn't sure if it could bring the benefit before but I would recommend Pure one since it helps actually. I feel the better on the higher RPM and it's the same result as Bee Pee said before.

- OEM and FTP are the same, est. 1.8x
- Pure one piece version, est. 2.26

I am very angry with pureturbo because version 2 the pipe escapes from the turbo .. And now they make the v3 with screw support, they should have designed the pipe well and completely from the beginning.

I heard you and I had this concern before bought this. I dealt with them directly since only they have version 3 in stock.
