Here we go, let the multi-thousand dollar "nickel and diming" begin! Smh BMW. Why can't these things be included when you buy a damn M car??

Nice! Looks like I'll be buying these.

For us doing ED, do we have to have these installed when they get stateside or can the factory install them?

I would just leave the steering wheel off. Would get the alcantara without the display instead.

Also, i noticed that the speedo and tach are standard orange color? Why not make em white as the other M's??

Confirmed in the Garching Reveal Video.

Hood, Doors, Roof, and Trunk lid are the same as the regular series car.

Is the trunk spoiler the same kick as already available? Hopefully it's a higher kick and fits m235i.

A front lip and these parts and the m2 will be perfect, hard decision on whether to get m2, m4 also whether to wait for LCIs of either

Don't care to much about the interior parts but the exterior parts look great. Would like to see them on a LBB.

looking good specially the rear diffuser. the interior is a joke though. Specially the seats. Just look at the rs3 and A45 amg interior. heck even the Golf looks better

I saw that too, could just be the rubber air ducts

Unless things have changed they'll be install stateside, would be great if you could get everything from the factory but from what M perf parts are like I side thing from the dealer

So this information on bmw.com goes against the weight information posted earlier:

Quote:
With a light and compact design, the M 6-speed manual transmission decreases the total weight of the car, resulting in an array of benefits in the field of dynamics, agility, acceleration and fuel consumption. The lightened gear box also balances the axle load distribution to nearly 50:50, giving the car more neutral and stabilised driving characteristics in every situation.

correct, i wish for an higher deck lid to fit my m235i as well.

who can really argue he 'needs' more power than a lightly tuned m235i ?
i mean in a daily commute and backroads w-e thing... will u fell that power diffrence with the m2 ?

i guess many buy the nameplate, prestige and looks... just me 2 cents

I dunno...I may be in the minority, but I'm pretty satisfied with the way it looks to be optioned out. If it truly comes in at around $51k to start, I'm all in. I mean, would I want carbon fiber everything and alcantara this and that, M-performance stuff standard? Of course, but that would be cost prohibitive. And that's what the M3 GTS and supposed M2 CSL will be.

Options are exactly that, options for the buyer to choose (and pay for). Ever option out a Porsche online? You can build a $130k Macan

Just 2 cents. or nickel...or dime..

The boot for the parking brake and (I assume) the manual transmission will be different, I think.

The standard 2-series M Performance bits have white stitching while the M2 bits seem to have blue.
