Turner Motorsports High Kick Spoiler Overview and Installation
Thanks to TargaM2 and BAN_M2C for posting pics of their cars with this spoiler on the forums. You enablers!
I had been thinking about a few different spoilers for my M2 but was completely sold on the Turner Motorsports High Kick Spoiler after seeing one on another M2 at an HPDE at Sonoma Raceway. The owner of that M2 had it paint matched to his car and it looked fantastic! I'll show you an overview of this piece, including the quality, and then how to install it. Quote:

It looks so good.
I am going to install mine whenever it stops raining, so probably in 3 weeks lol. Question, I was going to use the method that turner uses (there is a video on youtube), what are the pros and cons of that one vs this method? |

In my experience, the hinge method took more time and was harder to get right. I tried it and there was a gap between the tape and the car. The second go around I just placed it on at an angle and it was perfect.

Hmm that spoiler is seriously growing on me. I have the CS one right now and it's nice but this reminds me of the amuse trunks on the E92.
Seems like they're having a sale also might buy it and worse case just pay shipping to return.

The gap you mentioned is exactly what I thought it could happen. Thank you @SebsM2! Quote:
Imo this is one of the best looking spoilers on the M2 and surprisingly not a lot of people have it. |

With the method I used, you can correct for the contour as you move along. You're also able to peel up a bit of area you freshly pressed down to correct as you go too.

Really not enjoying my CS spoiler. Trying to get the courage to go with the Turner over the M performance. The Turner would be more unique...

I will say (with bias) that in terms of resale, OEM cf will always be the go to.

I hate to say fitment on mine could have been better, one side is a bit higher than the other so the tape right at the end did not stick, this is very little and minor and no one would notice but me and of course could have just been mine. I am fine with it as its not going anywhere, looks great and was a good deal.
So yes I would say I am happy. |

are they not using the 3M VHB double-sided tape? Those things are really sticky. Is it possible that it wasn't clean well on the area?

My 3K mile 2021 M2C garage queen came with the TMS high kick spoiler along with other carbon bits.
At first I was considering something smaller like the CS lip, but over time it has grown on me. Whoever installed it did a good job, as I don't see any fitment issues. My only complaint: Now that the car is being driven (10k total miles thus far) and exposed to the sun, the lip spoiler has developed some areas of sun damage and discoloration. I'm debating some sort of paint scheme that leaves some carbon exposed, but the sunspots are in weird places The car is in storage for the winter right now, but if someone is interested, I'll get some pics of the blems. |
