Intake manifold gaskets

So I have a cloned DME, and as a result the intake manifold has been off to install it. Then it was off again when I put the stock one back on when I needed to bring the car into BMW for service. Then it was off again to put the "good" one back on, and then it was off again when I had a moment of weakness and was preparing the car for sale, which did not happen because the buyer(s) set off all sorts of red flags and went missing for days on end, so I took it as a sign that I should keep the car. Well, now I want to put the fun DME back in (I've got the whole process down to like an hour and a half, lol) I'm wondering if I should replace the intake manifold gaskets as they've been off several times now. Car only has 16k on it, if that matters. Anyone here work at BMW and have the official info?

Thanks,
Danny

Even if it's good you might as well change it. Think of it as preventative maintenance. How much is the gasket

its not a question of the price, its a question of availability. No one carries these, so they have to be ordered. I was just curious if they were worn out after being on and off a few times.

for anyone who cares, I ended up replacing the gaskets. For 6 glorified rubber bands, bmw charges $150... but that is the price to play. Other than that, the old ones did not look bad at all, so I'm not sure they needed to be replaced. So did they neeed replacing? What did I learn? Nothing as usual so use your discretion.

I think for that price I would have gone for the OE supplier https://www.fcpeuro.com/products/bmw...ng-11617524569

But fresh gaskets are nice.
