spark plug gaps for mhd stage 1/stage 2
hello, I've seen a lot of people say you should get NKG 1 step colder plugs and gap them to .022 when tuning your car but I've also heard that it could lead to issues and that you should only close the gap after you notice misfires in your logs. well, taking plugs in and out takes forever so i'm not interested in continuously data logging to see which spark plug gap works best. i'm wondering if it's safe to just drop the gap to the generally recommended .022 and run stage 1 and stage 2 on 91 or e30 or if it's even necessary to regap plugs when running pump gas.
thanks

I only gapped mine to get them equal as they aren't equal out of the box.
Got 1 number colder yes. New they varied 25-35 thou. So i gapped them all 22go 23nogo. Ie somwhere in between 22 and 23. Runs perfect stage 1 or 2 or stock, i mainly run stage 2. |
