OK, let's get back on topic.

Interesting recent renders by the talented Monholo Oumar. The artist's imagination - BMW was not involved.

Dedicated thread in the 'M2 Photos and Videos' section: see here.

I know the carbon roof was already shot down, but DAMN!!! That pic would make me buy a Sunset Orange one to match the wife's Sunset Orange 330XiT.

I think the rear diffuser will sit lower. Looks on point though. Ride height is just right.

The front end will have a complete facelift. From the camo pictures looks like the fangs are getting redone.

I'm guessing they will look more like the vision gt concept.

Well, then let's repost also a couple of those epic M2 CSL renders (source: here).

These renders only exist in the imagination, except if BMW M is prepared to take a closer look and give it a thought for creating a 'Batmobile Reloaded'.

With this kind of potential at hand, competitors can only dream of such an opportunity.

Those renders have the Vision GT front lip but still showing the original fangs. See attached pic for Vision GT fang design. The box shows the piece that is different on the current M2.

I think the image from post 742 is what we will see with the added piece on the fang like in the vision concept. I believe the fang will need to be connected to the splitter for added strength/stability. With the hole in the number being for a tow hook strap.

I'm curious, how many people here have done the carbon fiber roof mod to their M2's?

This is what the CSL/GTS should look like

Seems obvious to me to use the Hommage 2002 concept.
I'd buy it sight unseen.

base model, will it still be available MY19/MY20

Do you think BMW will build an M2 base like we have now and in addition in 03/2018 build the M2 CS. It seems logical that they would have base and a competition package/clubsport like the m3 and m4. If not your forced into only one model, the M2 CS starting 03/2018.

This would mean every M2 would have a much larger price increase and not a base model like we have now, I thought the M2 was supposed to be a affordable base M model.

BMW does what BMW wants, but only haviing the M2 CS is going to place alot of buyers out of the M2 market

I passed on a delivery that is on the boat, decided I wanted 6MT vs DCT, dealer had no problem but if forced to buy M2 CS, it will have to be with larger than desired price point.

Make sense, thoughts

Would you pay Porsche GT3 money for it? because that’s what it would cost.

Personally I wouldn’t.

282 lbs of weight savings cars compared to the base E36 M3. A number take under consideration when speculating on the weight of the upcoming M2 CSL.

I would consider the weight difference between the M4 GTS and a stripper M4 to be much more precise as far as the max amount of weight savings that would be implemented.
