E36 M3 (3)
E46 M3
E86 Z4 MC (2)
E87 1M
F80 M4

And a ton of non M BMW's.

Still have the 1M and a Z4 MC and the M2 CS beats them in every department.

I've driven all and owned most of the cars on your list including M2 comp and 1st gen M2. I have not driven an M2 CS, but my favorite is the e92 M3. Perfect size and that S65 V8 is to die for.

The car is a modern classic already, and you can get it for 0.9% financing right now. Its a no-brainer purchase.

I l've driven E92's, on track and street. Wanted to buy one but couldn't love the lack of low end torque. Again, find the CS to be better on paper and on the road. We will see about the track.

Definitely "no brainer" to buy this car.

Like "zero" brains for this price tag.

Not gonna lie, this totally pushed me over the edge into finding one. I had the goal of owning an M2 to replace my 1er since they were in development and before I got my M4, and ever since then I've always sorta regretted not jumping into an OG or a Comp. I knew that I'd regret not buying one of these while they were available.

This is a forever sort of car for me, and will effectively replace both my 1er and my M4. Sure, the price tag sucks but I know that in order to set up an M2C the way I would have wanted (carbon hood and roof, forged wheels, suspension), I'd be dumping a ton more money into it over the base MSRP.

So here we are.

No regrets.

I'm with you but my M2 is still new to me

I've only had my car for a total of 3 years tomorrow

I will enjoy watching the CS owners around me celebrate

Congrats on finding one this late in the game. Mine is sitting at the port still lol.

Forever car for me too- I tried to make my f80 m3 comp that but it’s too mass produced to really feel special. Having this m2 cs in the garage, it won’t bother me a bit once the g87 comes out that’s going to be made in Mexico and likely subject to bmws new horrific design language. This car is going to be a special gem in 10-15 years as we move closer to the electronic revolution especially if you have a clean example. Fuk what the inevitable haters will say regarding this vs a regular m2 comp. if you can find and afford one you’ll buy it and as more of these positive reviews come out the clearer it will be.

As I watched the first episode of the EVO 2020 car of the year process and watching all the special cars the m2 cs beat to take its prize is a special achievement. E46 m3s and the like are great but if we’re talking modern bmw this is easily the best one and by a long shot

The > 1m is bold for them to say but I do feel this car is peak Bmw and we’ve fallen off the deep end past it.

Great. I like those two.

Those orange reflectors on the front though. It's as jarring to see as a smiling supermodel with a missing front tooth and a witch's goatee. Thankfully those IND people have a fix.

It's so refreshing to know there is at least one product out of Munich that still fits the plot. Manual option, RWD, compact dimensions, manual handbrake, classically handsome BMW styling, steering that at least provides some satisfaction, and truly engaging to drive at any speed.

What a legendary car. I hope the F87 M2 is not the last of its kind.

I know this is sacrilege but I drove the e92 M3 and didn't like the low end torque driving around town - went for the e92 335i instead. I suspect I'll get flamed for that but was very happy with the N54 engine in that car.
