Wheels Arches Extensions & Dirt

This is the second time I wash the car and the second time I see dirt when arriving home. Is it possible that it is due to the wheel arches extensions ? You can see in the picture below what I mean (the clean one was right after the wash):

I don't think they are present on our cars here in the US. At least they are not on mine.

US and Canadian spec CS don’t have these.
