I love the opening "Oh God it's leaking. It's leaking.... That's why we don't do BMW's, something always happens with BMW M cars". Yes indeed, Black Magic Wizardry sums up BMW M2CS perfectly

Love it! Test car is same spec as mine!
"Very few cars have character these days. This one has a whole bundle of it!" That's what I want in a car. A spirit, a soul, character. Too many cars are soulless.

Thank you for keeping of real. It's a busted ass interior for a 90k car. Great review. Another one that speaks to how great it is without being able to identify a singular component. I thought the C and CS had the same cooling systems. I guess not. Cooling is an often overlooked, but necessary upgrade.

Great review from TH as always. They really hit the nail on the head in regards to where this models stands in the current lineup. I say it in every M2 thread, but the M2 (in OG, Comp, and CS) is simply the best BMW at the moment, and like they said, may be fore some time.

I'm really surprised by the lack of US reviews. Any chance they pass on it since very few will be able to get one? The CS is almost old news at this point.

Boom. Let's go. This cars stock is going to go way up in the coming months. Glad I stuck it through with my decision crisis.. I look over at the g80 m3 crowd and I can't quite figure out what gets people excited for that new m3. Different buyers I suppose - this car EXCITES me and I don't even have in my garage yet. January can't get here faster.

This is the first time I've read that the cooling was different to the M2C also. I wonder if they meant the OG M2. I also read someone making the point of more negative camber on the CS, it's possible but what is fact?

I thought I had heard the cooling was different before these recent reviews (the cooling was mentioned in the BMW Blog video from the past week as well). My understanding was that with the bump to 444, it also picked up more of the M3/M4 Competition cooling pack as well. I thought this was covered in the Germany walkthrough when we learned about the roof being structural.

I just read an article about the M2 Comp which had the same verbage about a cooling upgrade. It wouldn't be the first time that BMW tries to take credit for upgrades when it was in a previous model.

Y'all know the scene in A Clockwork Orange where they hold his eyes open and make him watch stuff on the movie screen?
I kinda wanna do that with the entire BMW executive team and play this video on a loop until they "get it". |

Yes, but an articled does not the truth make. Why did the article that I quoted use the exact same verbage when explaining the M2 Comp cooling upgrade?

Amazing car, amazing review. Love the detailed analysis and excitement I see from these guys here. Sure there are cars that are superior on a technical level, but boy is the M2 just a riot to drive at any speed. Legendary car.
When all hope seems lost, at least the M2 is there to remind us that somebody is paying attention in Munich.

Well the mystery is the weight. Adaptive shocks are not significantly heavier than the non-adjustable shocks. The roof, hood, tunnel, seats, wheels, etc are all incrementally lighter. So where did the weight savings go over the M2C if they weigh the same if additional engine hardware didn't get added?
