Hey guys I was just curious on how often I should look to clean my intake filter ? My intake filter is exposed with an open box housing, so I was wondering how often it should be cleaned. Also, do people usually just clean them or do they just replace the whole thing ? As well, has anyone noticed noticeable benefits from cleaning it ? I'm assuming the induction would be slightly better, maybe less lag, lower IATs, and better performance ?

Is it a dryfilter or an oiled one? 10K miles is usually the interval given.

My eventuri has a dry filter. I washed it with low pressure water and let dry. It is pretty fragile material so don’t hit it hard with pressure. Ill probably order a new one this spring, I dont drive it much in winter anyways.

And I see you have the eventuri version 1 for N55 M2. You can get the updated V.2, which has a heat shield to pull more fresh air in rather than under hood heat. That’s the route I went. Had the V.1 then I updated to V.2.

every 5k ? damn that seems a little early, no ? how often for a daily driven car ? however, I do have my fun here and there given my big turbo setup. I'm guessing more frequently with a stage 3 turbo setup

I tried to order a blue kevlar carbon one to match but they stopped selling it. the only reason it is exposed is because I don't want mismatched carbon colors combined lmao

My Eventuri was inherited. It came with a dry filter. There is (was) conflicting information on cleaning. Kits, I think, were including oil. No longer.

Out of an abundance of caution, I purchased both a dry filter cleaner and a second filter. This allows me to remove one filter and install the other (clean) one. Clean, rinse and repeat.

Cleaning? Using this: K&N Synthetic Air Filter Cleaner and Degreaser. Rinsing with water.

V2 filters. Added the new scoop too. Whistling noises are free.

Changing about every 5,000 miles.

Did I get this right? I do not know. Best guess :-0

This may be interesting:

Eventuri Filter Cleaning Kit

Note: Eventuri does NOT recommend oiling their filters and the oil in the photos is no longer supplied with their kit.

And:
This is the instructions from Eventuri i just received:[sic]

Perhaps I should be cleaning the filter more often. I'll go 3,000 miles now.

I do frequent pulls here and there but mainly spirited driving. I also live in Florida so it’s mainly hot all the time. I still have got time to clean it but probably will soon !
