It can be but requires a proper exhaust piping designed to circumvent the filter and a ECU flash tune which can disabled the system's checks. Or else you're stuck with a permanent engine fault code, within the vehicle.

One possible blowback of this such mod is it more than likely voids potion of the factory warranty. So there's that..

At the risk of derailing this thread into a scatological discussion: AFAIK shit itself does not make sounds, unlike the actuator of the living organism.

What is meant by new a " dual branch exhaust system" ? How is this different from the MPE and stock M2C system?
According to my researcher, "dual branch" exhaust is an interconnection of the each individual pipes, in an attempt to change its sound output.

We'll see how that works out in practice..

You are correct. Initially: 07:38 and later: 07:35: see 09:49-10:19 of this video.

Nowadays BMW still quotes 07:38 on its website (see here):

There are tons of unique super nice cars in my area. The MSRP is really important. At $15K increase it's nice, maybe. Above $20k, I'd modify a M2C.
Disclaimer, I own a M2C.

PRO:
Carbon fiber parts
Brakes
Wheels and tires
Suspension

CON:
HP too low
No CF fenders
No roll cage or rear seat delete
Not really unique enough

That’s fine, enjoy your N55 335.

Sound is obviously polarizing but ultimately very subjective. Just depends on what you’re really looking for in a car...

It is next to impossible to judge exhaust note using a cheap microphone to record and then playing it back on a phone speaker.
Best fix, which also provides actual gains, catted downpipe. Fabspeed and Wagner are 2 we've used.

Improves the lower tones. Works better in an N55, but makes a difference in the S55 as well.

Here's a question Artemis, will the U.S. version carry the same exhaust, which is specifically designed to meet the new Euro standards?

Cool! I actually prefer the traditional headlamps over the ICON on the M2.

I don't know. Soon we will know (LA presentation later this month). How is it right now for the M2 Competition ?

Seriously this car can only utilize that power in the top 1% of skilled drivers. You will not come close to exploiting this figure.

GerryM5: the M2 CS features 450hp (331kW).

The car pictured below features 277hp (204kW).

Just sayin'.

Yeah, but the car below weighed more than 1,000 lbs less. Judging by the rear end, it appears to be a Procar with a curb weight of 2,250 lbs vs the M2's 3,600 lbs.

So it's apples and oranges. Just sayin. Not that the M2 is underpowered by any stretch. But weight does make a huge difference, especially when there's a 1,350 lbs disparity.

After listening to a few videos I believe the sound is not nearly as lawnmower like as I originally expressed.
