245/275 - OK or understeer?
Hi,
Has anyone run 245/275 setup? I need to get some rears. Was considering going to 255/275 - whilst I understand that many people are ok with this, I have seen posts where some say they lose a bit of steering sharpness going to 255 in the front. So was thinking that a 245/275 setup would keep steering as it is, but give a bit of extra rear grip, however, I guess that there is a risk of that it may start understeering. Any thoughts/experience on this appreciated. Thanks. |

I don't have experience with running 30mm difference between front and rear.
But I have experience with running square 245 winter set and the difference is quite noticeable. I also have experience with running more aggressive alignment (0 toe front, half of the OEM toe rear). That is also very noticeable. So based one that I would say it doesn't matter which tire you run at the front. Try it and if you don't like it then change the alignment. |

Also depends on how your aero is set up. If you have a front lip you might be okay.
I'm running 255/275 and I noticed when I installed my front lip the car now has a very slight tendency to oversteer (vs. slight tendency to understeer) at the limit, which is fine as I can control the car with the throttle and my front tires aren't so beat up after heavy driving. I'd imagine if I went to 245 in front it'd probably go back to neutral or very slight understeer again. |

I have decided not to risk understeer and have ordered a 255/275 set of PS4S which will go on at the end of the week. |
