Is a 91 tire load rating ok for front tires

Hey !

I need to downsize my front winter tires from 245/35/19 to 235/35/19. The 245 are too tall and rub in the wheelarches (I am lowered approx 4cms on Ohlins). Summer tires of the same size fit fine.

I can only find tires with a 91 tire load rating vs the original 93. Would it be unsafe to run a 91 tire instead of a 93 ?

Thanks o

I'm not an expert. My opinion is I think it'd be fine. 91 index is 1356lbs per tire, which is still a fair bit above what the M2 weighs. Also the difference between 91 and 93 is only 77lbs.

Thanks a bunch ! I really never cared about load index so far. According to my tire shop, using a tire with a lower load index than what is originally fitted will result in the car immediately crashing in an orphanage before exploding. I guess they have to say this for liability reasons.
