PPF installer recommendations SoCal

Just picked up my LBB M2C yesterday.

Any experience with:
Ultimate Shield
Protective Film Solutions

Xpel vs Suntek?

Approximate cost for front end only?

Thanks.

All my cars have gone to Ultimate Shield. One of the best in the business. You’re looking at around 1400+ full front end with suntek ultra

They quoted me $2000 full front, similar to all other places I inquired about at OC.

The Tint Monkey also does a great job, he uses XPEL and services most of OC. He has two locations, santa fe springs and huntington beach.

I spent a good month researching where to get a PPF installed in my M2c.

I eventually took my M2 to Envious Detailing in Orange County.

https://www.enviousdetailing.com/

https://www.yelp.com/biz/envious-det...rh_type=phrase

Highly recommend them. He does not use pre-plotted film, everything is custom. He takes off the kidney grilles, side markets, etc etc. Top notch install. Front bumper is one piece not two pieces of film.

I got the full front clear bra installed. Bottom side skirts, redid the bmw film on the rear quarter panel, and bottom of rear bumper was done. Again what makes or breaks a clear install is the installer.

I also went to a car show and I saw another M2c there that had PPF done. To my surprise his car you can see a seam in the front bumper. It was a two piece film on his front bumper. This IMO was a crappy install and you can see the seam.

Protective Film Solutions...I would encourage you to drive down and check them out as you'll be sold after that.

Stek is nice. It's easy to install and the clarity is amazing. The top coat on their film is pretty much like a full blown ceramic coating. The only issue I have heard with their film is that the stain resistance isn't the best.

IMO, it's going to come down to which installer/facility you feel most comfortable leaving your car with. These days the top PPF's on the market are extremely competitive with each other in terms of protection, clarity and warranty.

American Wrap Co - they are mobile as well. I got full front, side skirts, quarter panel to a-pillar as one piece, and partial rear bumper behind the rear wheels. Flawless job. I also had Envious Detailing do my front lip.

Thanks for all the recs bit eventually I went for a place closest to home called Aerowerkz and I'm very happy. That place is like a mini LA autoshow with all the Lamborghinis and Ferraris being worked on.

For the rear fenders, what part did they cover? I'm curious where they stopped and what you think of it after living with it. I'm debating between Envious and Ultimate Shield for my new M2 on order.

How much did Envious end up charging for that full PPF?
