How? Any specific discount or incentive being applied? Out west MSRP seems to be the going rate..

A local guy was talking about how he couldn't pass it up since they were practically giving away his M2C. Sure buddy.
Out of the dozen or so dealerships I was in contact with trying to get an allocation it was MSRP only. I could see a small discount if it was a car on the lot. I did get $500 but after purchase from BMW CCA rebate.

Traded in my 2017 (base, no optional equipment) with $40,000 trade allowance against MSRP on my 2020.
Curious about others who might have traded or be trading in a used M2.

Damn, I gotta work on my sales pitch..
When the original M2 was a year and half old, they were still selling for sticker and that was considered a deal. I'm surprise that they're willing to discount that generously for a 9 month old M2C model. $4,000 + is a sweet discount; what's your secret? |

Ehh I wouldn't. Allocations are so rare and these discounts (without much detail behind them) are much rarer. My recommendation is keep your deposit and allocation and try to find another with a discount. If you can before you sign on your current MSRP allocation, great. By law they have to give you your deposit back. If you don't, then you will know you can feel comfortable having paid what the market is for most people on this car.

No real secret. The method I’ve used over the last few ordered cars is to send out a bunch of emails to several dealers my (reasonable) offer. It seems that internet sales is much more willing to play ball if they can make a quick deal with little hassle and fuss. All I want out of any deal is to cover sales tax which is 6.5% where I live. Some say no, some will counter with less of a discount, but there is always one willing to play ball. Regional market forces play a big role as well. I’m in south Florida and they never give deep discounts. I’ve done much better with central Florida dealers. |

Not my first rodeo so I know all the little hidden gems they like to throw in there. I’ve found it much easier to get the amount knocked off the sales price than to have it lowered or taken off the sheet altogether. |

1k off MSRP.
white/blue/bi color/manual basically I got the $995 dealer fee waived. I did it by pitting two dealers against each other. lowest bid won. |
