Even 265/35/19s rub in the front until you wear a few mm off the tire or fender liner. 275/35 will be too tall.

Damnt hankook!

I wonder how large a drop in performance are the PS4S? Or a step up to the R88R.

I'll probably just end up with RE71 265/35R19 and 285/35R19 but they run a bit wide so wonder how bad the rub will be.

The 71R is worth 2.5sec on a 1:30 track vs the PS4S, so the RS4 would be in between. The 4S starts to grease out after 15min, tho, so you end up having to back off.

You’ll get some rub with the 265/35/19 under compression. You either live with it until the tire/liner wears down, or go 255/285.

Is this rubbing with or without camber plates?

With and without. Stock and non-stock suspension.

Would love to see these EC-7s in this particular build in Anthracite on a Hockenheim Silver M2C. Would help me make my decision.

I run 265/35/19 RE71s up front on my M2C for autocross . The tires will rub, mostly on full-lock turning and in reverse, until after the first race. Then, barely any at all. I'm about to replace a set and there's zero rub even at full lock. YMMV on tires that don't wear like a soft wheel of cheese.

That's promising but I'm wondering about on track where you get a lot of suspension compression from curbing or turns like the Sink Hole at NCM. But as you point out that as they wear it's not so much an issue.

Thanks. As will I. Was hemming and hawing over whether to go with the 763m or 437m or these Apex EC-7s. To me, the 763m looks a bit too big for the proportions of this car. Maybe it would look better with coilovers and the wheels tucked in a bit more. I like the looks of the 437m, but that wheel is more associated with the OG M2 and M3/4. Ideally I'd love to have a nice set of Forgelines, but I just can't justify spending $1600 per wheel for this car. So the EC-7s are the answer for me. I like that their fitment has been designed specifically for this car to increase tire width, and that Apex has a proven track record (no pun intended) making BMW wheels over the last 10 years or so. I'm hoping that Anthracite is the right choice for Hockenheim Silver (I suspect that it is).

Stock 9" front wheel? In the rear, you're using 285/35 or 305/30?

The rub is only when steering is dialed in and it occurs at louvers on the front part of the fender liner (as far as I can tell). I haven't heard or seen evidence of rubbing on the top under compression.

Same.

I planned track events around end of July delivery.

This is not great.

Just got the same response, I also planned for July/aug events because of the July ETA listed on their site...trying to figure out what to do now.

Thoughts on whether the 265/30 and 295/30 r888r's will fit on OEM wheels?
