Is it possible to change when the Fuel range warning comes on in Bimmercode?

If so can someone post the instructions and what options we have that are lower than stock?

Es, i did so. Removed the first warning entirely and adjusted the second one to my liking.

It's in the instrument cluster in the bottom.

Quick question. Last BMW I coded was my M5 and been awhile. I know when you code the head unit it blows out the 8 quick soft touch button program keys and I think maybe radio stations or some other personalized things. Is this still the case on the M2C and if so, can I export my User Profile to USB before coding, do the coding and whatever gets blown out just restore it all by importing my saved profile back from the USB?

I remember my M5 and my son's 3 series we had to basically reprogram alot of stuff from scratch (soft keys, radio stations, seat position, etc) after coding was completed.

thanks

Yes coding the HU does blow all your settings and soft keys etc.

I keep meaning to try the USB profile backup but I've not coded the HU for ages.

Try it and end let us know...

Can you save original settings using beemercode app BEFORE coding anything?
And just revert to original settings before dropping car to the dealer?

Brought my car in for its second scheduled maintenance visit. Upon arrival i asked them to look into a couple of minor issues - A battery that sometimes loses its charge and a intermittent tapping noise that i hear coming from what seems to be beneath and behind me (centre-rear) when i go over bumps. Luckily, i was able to rereate the noise with the tech next to me (imagine that!).
I handed over my keys, jumped into my loaner and left...

Several hours later i get a call from the dealer with an update on my issues...
Noise in rear- 'you had a sleeve of golf balls in the trunk' WTF?
Battery - "umm, have you had any coding or tuning done to your car?"
I played dumb and asked why. "Well the tech noticed that when he went to lock your car, the mirrors folded in."....and so it began....

after receiving a lecture about coding and performance mods I fired back saying that no performance mods were made as i know that would likely void my warranty should a problem arise as a result and that all i did was unlock an option that already existed on the vehicle.
I was then told that for them to further diagnose my issues with the tapping noise and the battery (which btw they blamed the coding for the battery issues), the cars obd data etc would have to be sent to bmw hq and as a result, my car would likely be flagged and warranty voided!
I told them that was BS (voiding an entire warranty) and that i was on my way to take my car away.
They gave me 2 options - use my app to return the car to stock, however, that would not guarantee that bmw hq would not find out i once had it coded...or pay $500 to have them return car to stock!!
I said 'neither' and took my car.

before i decided to code my car i researched coding etc extensively here on our forum and i cant begin to guess how many times i saw posts asking the age old question, "will coding void my warranty?"...answer was always NO (unless u bricked your car of course). So perhaps im just an idiot but a really didnt think it was going to be such a big deal bringing the car in with a few convenience mods...should i have 'uncoded' the car ahead of time? apparently that would not have mattered though...should i find another mod/code friendly dealer? From what they tell me, its unavoidable to not get flagged if the cars data needs to be transmitted to hq for any warranty work...
Any advice on this you guys can share?
Shady dealer. Unrelated, but my car was in for service the other day and they turned my daytime running lights back on lol, I wonder why they did that.
Are you in the US? I had a VW dealer do the same with my 2007 Rabbit (that came from the factory with them OFF) and they said it was part of Federal regulation that they be enabled on 2007 and newer cars. I have no idea if it's true or not. I just tuned them back off with my VAG Com.

Additionally, I had new tires put on that car and they charged me for TPMS valve stems when the car didn't even have the feature. They gave me the same story, but my car was produced before that cut off date. Got my money back on that one. lol

Wow, this thread is huge! Is there a summary/cheat sheet for Bimmercode on the F87? I'm going to start reading this thread, but I might have a new car by the time I finish it!

Same issue here. Is this coding element eliminated?

You can use any F22/F30 coding cheat sheet. It's almost all identical.

Ok, so I got some useful stuff coded but there are few things I couldn't find:

1. Is there a way to adjust volume balance between sources (let's say lower the FM and raise the USB)?
2. Can I see the MDM config values? I understand I wouldn't be able to code them but I would like to know what I'm running compared to Euro MDM.
3. Can the Traction/MDM mode warning be turned off? It's very annoying as it blocks the iDrive screen for several seconds.

New Bimmercode update available on AppStore. Looked thru the new items and see "Live Cockpit Instrument cluster coding" but cant find documentation on it. Anyone know what this does for the M2C?

Is it possible to program the car to lock itself after I walk away from it? My Megane RS does this and I love it.

ok, simple question, I just want to code off a few things like Active Sound and Nav Warning (Lawyer Screen ) on USA 2020 M2C. Maybe add other features like auto fold mirrors and such later. Is the OBD adapter required to remain plugged in? Or can I remove it after coding?

Anyone know how to make the media screen come up blank when I get in the car? I have to turn it off every time I get in, and it bugs the hell out of me.

Also, coded the M2 last night for the first time, turned the seatbelt chimes off, but now my passenger side airbag warning light (on the roof) is on. I coded all the passenger stuff back on, but it's still there. Any ideas?
