While trying to dial in my flex fuel E60 tunes with BootMod3 and Motiv Reflex, my tuner and shop have been having issues with the Motiv Relfex box turning on and off. According to my tuner, the fuel trims were around .85-.9 then shot up to 1.3 (max fueling). The fuel trims have been inconsistent and the car will sometimes run perfectly fine, extremely rich, or slightly lean causing the car to misfire. We checked all coil ignitions, injectors, replaced the spark plugs (under warranty), and tighten the gap from 0.020 to 0.018 but that didn't seem to be the issue.

The shop is currently ordering a replacement Motiv Reflex box, assuming that is the issue. All lines and connecters were double checked with nothing seeming off. Both LPFP fuel pumps are working how they should be and the pressure is normal. It's weird because the Motiv Reflex was working perfectly fine for the first few weeks until recently. The box doesn't seem to be working like how it used to be and apparently the shop said they have seen this issue before.

Has anyone experienced any problems with their Motiv Reflex box ? Any insight on what the issue could be ?

Thanks, Shane

the box was not hooked up right and I ended up going to a new shop… The new shop I brought it to said it wasn’t connected to the canbus and wasn’t reading an output. That caused my DME to break which is now being cloned and replaced.
