M2 CS exhaust sound (static display) - US version (no Otto Particulate Filter)
Featured on BIMMERPOST.com As the European version features the OPF, it will sound inevitably more muffled. Source: BMWBlog (see here)

I wish one of the folks with the camera had gotten some interior shots! The door was wide open!!!
In re: to the sound, I think it sounds a bit different than my F80 ZCP. Just a hair deeper, at least that's my takeaway from these clips. Overall, I think we all have a good idea of how the S55 typically sounds at this point.

Passenger seat looks like it's had a healthy helping of rear end.
The interior certainly looks nicer in the press release. I've found that interior quality sorta melts away once behind the wheel. I'm super spoiled now, but honestly, when I hop into my beat up 02 Xterra I don't scream out loud about the delapidated poor quality interior. I suspect the same will hold true about the CS. |

Agreed, listened to this at home on TV and didn't have anything negative to say. It's never going to sound like a V8 so it is what it is. Coming from an ftype svr there will likely be much exhaust note heartbreak during my life.

Agreed, this sounds much better!
Question, if taking European Delivery of a US market car, will the US version of the exhaust be on the car at that time, or will it be switched once the car is shipped to VPC? Anyone know?

Better than other videos, but still not over 4000rpm, and you can still hear the hollow shallowness at 2:53. Too bad.
