I understand that they want to keep the spirit of the 1M, but I don't know why this is one of the aspects they would want to keep. M3 Adjuster has seen the Leipzig plant and said that "the paint process IS the bottle neck on vehicle production.. it's about the only place on the line where the car isn't moving..." I guess I can understand why there's a limited amount of exterior options, but I still wonder why they went this route with the interior. Maybe Leipzig is limited in its interior options as well. |

For example in tx I believe the Austin dealer has the most allocations for the 1m, at least more than all the DFW area dealers which steer buyers to the 3/4 series |

Damn you're quick to jump down people's throats just for voicing some minor complaints about the car. No car is perfect, and just because someone dislikes a thing or two about the M2 doesn't mean they should bug off and just get an M3/4 or something. Yeah it's cool that BMW is building the M2, but it doesn't mean they're now automatically free from criticism.

I post on some sports forums and during the offseason there are a lot of posts criticizing/complaining, since everyone is antsy for the next season to start. That's kind of the stage we're in now since we just don't know everything and since we've been waiting for a reveal for a while now. After we get a full technical and exterior/interior reveal, we'll move onto another stage of criticisms (the "regular season" so to speak) and you're right, that's what the discussion board is for |

Bit disappointed if this is final. Can't believe they couldn't put new M4 seats and CF roof even as an option!
Here's looking to the CSL if it ever comes. I think this will get the proper seats and CF roof just hope it's not super expensive. Now just need to know: When it would be released 1,2 or 3 years after base M2 Will it be 6MT Priced under the M3 If it's 3 years I'd be happy to get the base M2 on 3 year lease then upgrade. Hopefully M2 can hold its value. |

I have to say, even with the short options list, it would still work out quite well for me. In Belgium, the only options I'd have to tick would be 6MT, MG, HK, tinted rear windows and maybe one of the phone integration options in case iDrive doesn't come standard with BT audio. Everything else is already standard equipment. However, BMW being BMW, I guess there will be a lot less standard equipment in Germany.
Since adaptive suspension is not an option, I wonder if it will be standard or simply not offered on the car. Any info on that, emathis? Last edited by sth519; 08-10-2015 at 03:08 AM.. |

Carry over or scary over ?
Apparently. BMW likely about the M2: "Folks, take it ///My way, or take the F80/F82 highway".

Maybe i should wait for model year 2017/2018 M2 before buying one to see what will be standard then and maybe some new improvements, What do you think guys? I have something like 27 000€ left on my loan to pay of bought it for 44 000€ As of now i will have a decent trade in for a new M2 :-)

I would be surprised if you got a euro over €30k. Unfortunately BMW Sweden pays very bad. I got €6k more in a private sale compared to trade in value on my F30 335. |

Haven't been to the dealer yet. Haven't had the time but who knows after 2-3 years it won't be worth a penny , Considering my car is only 10 months old so far.
