When purchasing my M2, it came surprisingly came with genuine M Performance 373 wheels that come from the 6 series. Very strange I know, I’m not sure why the previous owner left them on there but I’m curious to what I can even run with these wheels ?!

I need to get them new tires (since the current ones are legit garbage) and I would like to put them to use since they have been sitting in my garage doing nothing. As well, I actually really enjoy the look and think they would be a nice change to have here and there.

Right now they have 245/30 and 275/30 on lowering springs and I’m wondering if I can do 255 / 275 ? Keep in mind, I have about a finger of gap and do rub against the fender liner when approaching big bumps fast.

Also, I would like to fix the wheel fitment and gain more poke to make them flush against the car without damaging the fender (since I will most likely rub). Does anyone know what mm spacers I would be able to run with this wheel setup ?

Thanks,
Shane

Unfortunately your offsets and wheel sizes are all wrong. I'd look for a much better wheels set of 19" or even 18" and sort the car out with new tyres. Those wheels were not designed for the M2, too inset and too narrow and 20"

I have 19s already, which is what I been using. However as stated in the post, I’d like to make use of the 20s to change up the look. The car ran fine with them on 245 / 275, but I would have liked more poke. I just don’t know if I can fix that without having issues. The offsets are pretty high making it seem fine but the width is what is confusing me.

have a look here this can be very useful https://www.willtheyfit.com

You can see how stock and other options will vary

The offset is the offset of the wheel centre, so a wider rim with the same offset will 'grow' from each edge inside and outside

It’s saying the 20 setup will be further away from the strut but have less poke. Does this mean all I’d need is a spacer, like as what I originally thought ?

Yes thats right, I will be fitting 255/275 and I am sure I will have enough room, my rear is et45 with a 7.5mm spacer so now et37.5

You could fit spacers to push them out, you have a goo amount of room so some good flanged spacer should work well

I think yo should be able to fit 15mm spacers front and rear it will depend on the outer edge of the tyre
