That does not look right. The sensor should be flushed to the rim. These images do not have a good angle but I hope you get the idea.

I actually message TPMS direct and they told me it's NOT supposed to touch the surface of the rim since every wheels has different barrel. |

Not supposed to touch the barrel however it should generally run parallel to the barrel.
I think you can adjust the angle on those.

This post seems to have an appropriate title for my TPMS related question. I am looking at OEM TPMS sensors for the M2 (2018, LCI). Huf appears to be around $44 a piece and VDO around $55 a piece.
Then I see what riko///m2 posted and that is available on Amazon for $25 a piece. Riko, did you have any issues with this sensor? Did the installer need to do any "programming" to make it work with your M2? TIA. https://www.amazon.com/BH-SENS-315MH.../dp/B08LLGB5CZ |

2. It says "must be programmed prior to install" So based on point 2 it needs to programmed. The programming units are not cheap so either your fitter needs the tool or better off buying a pre programmed set. I bought a set HUF's pre programmed a while ago, no issues.

Thanks. Looks like only one of the pre-programmed units from Huf (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...BCDVBKB7&psc=1) are available on Amazon; and its back ordered even on Apex Race Parts (https://www.apexraceparts.com/store/...ms-sensor.html).
I'll probably order up the VDO (OE manufacturer) one from FCP Euro. https://www.fcpeuro.com/products/bmw...90#description |

I purchased the sensors from tpms dot com along with 8mm valve stems (for the BBS LM's). It's direct fit, no programming done. I spent a bit more, and it's working good to date. Beware of fake sensors. They are out there.
