My AWFUL experience with Reventon Industries

*Edit Update* Reventon immediately started to respond after posting. They were able to help improve fitment with their directions which were very unusual to the normal m2 diffuser fitment as many know, which is just clip it in and put the push pins/screws in the holes. It required me to drill holes in my bumper and put clips and screws on to basically bend the diffuser into place. I had to make my own tweaks to their directions and had to re-drill pre-drilled holes for the side spats since they did not line up with the bumper along with using some 3m tape to get rid of the gaps on the spats. While the fitment was not perfect, it is much better than before and I will be keeping it on my car. Is it acceptable fitment for the price? To me no but I am a perfectionist and have a very keen eye for detail so maybe that's just me. Though they helped with the fitment issues I had to purchase my own hardware which they stated was supposed to be included in the package(which I did not get reimbursed for). Install took several hours to install trying to get it to as close to perfect as possible. After finally providing customer support to aid in fitment they wanted me to remove the post and in return they would give me the money they owe me for the repair cost. I stated I would edit the post to show they aided me in fitment but the post would be staying up purely based as a review on their customer service. They then stated they would not partially refund me for the repair cost since I wouldn't delete the post. Which i then told them I am not handing out favors for something that is owed to me. I will later post pictures of the updated fitment and you can be the judge if the fitment for a $1369 diffuser + repair cost is "good enough" like I said. I will also post some screenshots of the conversations as proof of course.

I just wanted to start by summarizing saying the diffuser came in broken, they agreed to fix it, never fixed the issue, and I went to install it and it didn’t fit.

This is a long series of events with my experience with Reventon Industries so strap in for a read and I apologize in advance for the book. I also have pictures attached for proof but if you take anything from this post, this company has terrible customer service, lie to their customers promising everything, completely over promise and under deliver(literally), underestimate their time scale for production and shipment and just overall poor quality. Due to it not even fitting in the end.

My experience began in October 4th of 2023 when I purchased a custom pre preg carbon diffuser for $1369 for my M2 Comp. On November 10th 2023 I was messaged that the diffuser was just about finished and just needed clear coat. November 20th 2023 was when I was told the diffuser would be sent to FedEx to be sent to me.

Waited 2+ weeks to December 8th to contact again for a tracking number with a response saying it would be sent to me December 11th. I continued to ask for a tracking number 4 times after that and finally received a tracking number on January 2nd now 2024.

I later reached out to FedEx and got a response saying they never received a package. They claim the package got stuck in the airport and they would push to get it through. Finally got an update January 21 2024 saying my new arrival time is January 24 2024.

Finally February 12 2024 I received my package… BROKEN. The damage wasn’t terrible but any damage on something I just spent $1369 on is extremely aggravating especially when I’m a perfectionist. The box was mangled, the diffuser was sticking out of the box and the carbon was cracked very minorly on the LED light which is luckily removable.

They agreed to supply a new light free of charge on February 20 2024 and would update me when it would be finished being made. I was later ghosted until March 25 2024 when they said the LED light would be finished by the end of the week and sent out.

After that I was ghosted by them and decided to reach out to a sponsor of theirs, 50shadesofhockenheim which was amazing help. On June 2nd 2024 they finally responded because he told them to. We reconnected using WhatsApp. On June 6th 2024 they said they would let me know by the end of the day when they would be able to send a new LED. On June 19th 2024 they said they started production and should be done in another week which is weird because they said on March 25th it would be done soon meaning they had no intention on sending a new light.

We are now in July on the 25th of 2024 when they finally respond again after ghosting me just to tell me they don’t have a mold for the light and they will make a new one meaning they never started production. This is followed by being ghosted once again.

I had to reach out to their sponsor again to get a response which was them saying they withdrew the diffuser from sale even though it was custom implying they’re doing me a favor. When I asked for a partial refund to get it repaired instead I was told they are approaching the end and they are producing it on special order and will be finished soon and they “remember me and to not worry because it will be shipped soon.”

To this day, no response from them and no new light so I decided to bite the bullet and get the light fixed through a shop for an additional $350. I go to install the diffuser and it does not fit what so ever. Since I kept getting no response I reached out to 50shadesofhockenheim once again to try to aid me. He told me I may need to remove the bumper to install my specific diffuser which is what I later tried. Today October 19th 2024 I removed the bumper to get that additional flex and the fitment was exactly the same as with the bumper on and did not line up what so ever. I am going to seek a refund but I am sure they will not supply one. If you take anything from this DO NOT buy anything from them.

$1369 for THAT? It looks like something from JC Whitney for about $19.95. What a bunch of rat bastards. I hope you get a full refund and that karma lays the smack down on these polesmokers.

Unfortunately, it looks like you got fleeced. Is this even a real company? The way they write is a clear sign to me that I wouldn’t want to do business with them.

Guys, remember this, pay by CC and anytime you get no response or something is wrong, take it up with your CC company. They have teams that will get your money back. Then go somewhere else that WANTS your business.
