It's pretty addicting -I've been purchasing parts from IND and I bought a ton of Adams polishing products and detailing products for my garage.

I impulse-bought a Dragy in anticipation of timing 0-60 after I get break-in service done. About 200 miles to go!

The Dragy iOS app is terrible.

I'll ask this again, but does anyone have a good source for CF parts for our BMWs? The BMW OE is super expensive. When you search there is so much out there, its hard to tell what is good quality. Personal experiences welcome

These guys are pretty reasonable..

I bought a spoiler from them once, it's was of decent quality.

You can research the name RW Carbon, my direct link was blocked.

And I can give you some feedback on RW Carbon as well. I got a rear diffuser, side skirts, and front lip from them. You can look through the thread I started and here my thoughts on quality, etc after the parts arrived. Be sure to read through the end about how they rewarded my honesty when I shipped back hundreds of dollars of parts they mistakenly sent me.

https://f87.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh....php?t=1626525

I do have an update to what is on that thread too. I only have 1,000 miles on the car now and the front lip has a lot of chips in the clear coat. I'm guessing they used cheap material because it's not holding up even close to what I expected or hoped. If I were to do it again I'd throw on some PPF before installing. More likely just go with a different brand.

I would of kept the extra parts they sent you and consider it a deep discount..

But that's just my upbringing..

Thank you. And from your thread I gather that AP is probably the best option out there. I've looked at their stuff, and will check them out.

I ordered the M Perf CF grille and rear diffuser like 2 weeks ago and still haven't received it; once I get it I'm doing PPF on them before installing them. I've been researching RW Carbon and though they're more affordable, I wasn't sold on the use of lower grade materials.

From experience, CF trim pieces are the worst when not properly PPF'ed, and they chip/scratch like crazy. When I had an MB, I had the "Euroteck" CF lip and that thing basically went to shit after 6 months, lol. Chips and scratches everywhere (as well as fade from being in the sun).

No problem! Yes, from what I gathered AP is probably one of the best when trying to balance cost and quality. I'm sure you can ask BAN_M2C how his AP CF parts are holding up. I think I saw on his build thread he does track days. That's the real test of durability.

And whatever you get, apply PPF to the front lip or any CF piece that will take hits from rocks. Look at Sliplo to protect from scrapes too. Mine got some rash pulling out of gas station even after the attendant was nice enough to warn me about the steep angle.

Just to complain...I find it annoying that nearly all front lips and aero pieces for our cars are CF with few ABS options. I only found only one ABS front lip when I was shopping and it was only for the middle section for an obscene price. Makes me think I need to design and sell ABS front lips for BMWs.

Is there much of a market for ABS parts for this car? While i can understand the track rat wanting to just use cheap, easy to replace parts that will get damaged easily, the majority of owners probably would rather it look nice with CF.

Lightweight makes a front lip and other bits I think. I had their ABS lip on the F80 and it took a beating that most CF would not have survived

Oh yeah, the impulse buying is hitting hard... also it seems a lot of local guys are parting out things that I've had my eye on for sometime now.

Picked up a BMS Can Flap Module, the IND M Performance Shift Knob and am looking to get an MP Style Carbon Diffuser...

Yea but if it's an expendable part that's susceptible to damage, like a spitter, it's not a big deal. Their prices for carbon fiber is comparable to ABS plastic, give or take..

The clear coat was lacking the piece I had received but for the price I paid, I didn't mind as much..

Like they say, you get what you pay for..

Man, after having a front CF lip on my MB, I don't think I'm doing front lips anymore. I'm OCD AF, and no matter how careful I am, scraping the bottom is just unavoidable.

Very true. Another issue I have with non OEM parts is fitment, which can be hit or miss.

One of my biggest pet peeves are poor fitment gaps. They're the worrrrst.

My Automotive Passion lip has seen 150mph multiple times and its solid. But because I have less than 3" clearance I wanted some underside protection. The lip protectors I've seen around for $100+ are excessive. I found a $20 dollar carbon protective strip that has held multiple rubs on ground and lip is still perfect.

That does look good. I was looking for the side splitters only, but that full lip looks really nice. Paired with the side winglets in the rear, just like yours.

Curious based on you last post, do you sell AP products?
