All said in part from the manual: "When M Dynamic Mode is activated, stabilizing interventions are carried out only to a reduced extent..." I do not believe there is a less intervening mode. DSC off, then MDM on, are the only choices to reduce intervention, yes?

All said, I dislike the throttle mapping in MDM. It feels like running in Efficient mode.

DSC off (all off) requires long press of TC button. Both require confirmation if activating via M1 or M2 program. MDM doesn't change throttle map AFAIK it is s traction / stability setting. |

Efficient/Comfort on start up until warm. Also on motorway, although I prefer Sport steering at higher speed as its not so light.
Around town normally Sport+/Comfort, as I'm sad and want people to hear it pop. |

Sport/Sport
Sport plus throttle is too "boosty" for me, I prefer sport.. I'm glad the car defaults to sport steering, comfort steering is so light I think it's made for my 96 year old grandmother to use. Even my wife says it feels like the steering column has broken! |

M1 => Sport + / Comfort / MDM
M2 => Efficient / Comfort / TSC + DSC on The steering in Sport and Sport + is way too heavy for me. TSC is pretty scary when taking a turn at high speed, it kind of jerks the car back and forth, I thought I was gonna die lmao. |

It depends on the situation. Take today on the way home, as an example. The Chrysler 200 driver next to me at the stop light was clearly feeling frisky. He was revving his mighty engine like you would not believe! Inching forward, just a bit at a time, until he was a foot past the white line. I knew this guy was serious. I mean, a Chrysler 200! He knows what he has.
The light changed. I thought, "maybe this time I can take him...", but I knew I'd met my match and, with my poor BMW in Sport/Comfort (to cover the point of this thread) I let him blow past me with all the thunder that 200 could muster. Right past the cop that was sitting in clear view the whole time about 750 feet past intersection. I'm sure the cop complimented his driving skills and his mighty machine while giving him a ticket. |

Comfort is okay but not bad.
I love it in sport+ but sport is also acceptable and fun. Yes it is heavy in the sport settings! That's why it is a BMW.

Damn, you didn't waste any time when you got back! Next season I'm hoping to go to Area 27 as part of some club's private day... Never done that track. My dealer hasn't delivered another M2C yet. Which is yours? |

Full off, Sport + linked to M2 button immediately after startup. ABS is all that I'm comfortable with, don't like any of the other voodoo.
Got rid of the stupid mpg and shift suggestion junk as well. Standard gearbox. |

Can anyone confirm this? Can it be coded with Bimmercode?

I believe I used Bimmerlink.
(I paid for both Bimmercode and Bimmerlink...it's stupid that you can't use 1 for all your needs.) |

Is there launch control on these cars? I swear I've looked up and down in the cluster for it.

But, this is not permanent. It only works if the app is running an connected as well as your OBD dongle. There is no way to code (ESYS, BimmerCode, etc.) the exhaust valve behaviour.
