I'm also not a fan of the MPE on the S55 after having it on my M3. Probably an unpopular opinion but it was very raspy IMO. Maybe paired w/ a single mid pipe.
Not to go off topic, but are you in the market for the M2C?

Didn't you get rid of your F80 for an E92? Wasn't sure if I was remembering that correctly...

Yep. Official weight quoted by BMW are as followed:

Model DIN/EU (Kg)
M2 1495/1570
M2C 1550/1625

I believe the revised figure for M4 is

DIN 1515 Kg
EU 1590 Kg
According to bmw.de, M2C is still lighter than M4 (probably because smaller blue brakes are standart and BBK is optional for M2C in Germany and some other misc options/packages)

EU weight of M2C --> 1625kg (MT), 1650kg (DCT)
EU weight of M4 --> 1645kg (MT), 1670kg (DCT)

Edit: Unladen weight from BMW UK website:

M2C --> 1550kg (MT)
M4 --> 1560kg (MT)

Are those MY19 M4 weights? I wonder how much the new filter and larger muffler design adds to the M4’s weight.

Agreed - I can't wait for someone to get a hold of one of these modified exhausts so we can see where the filter actually resides. And why the muffler needed to be so much larger...

I would be surprised if BMW ever updated M4 figures accounting for OPF and the new steel driveshaft. I bet this is the same number they released at the M4 launch.

Motortrend 12.9s therefore around 12.55s we will see
Some DCT M4s have hit high 11s stock. The power band will matter a lot too since its pretty flat in power. S55 should be in that range longer.

Yes, different market has different specifications so their weight difference can be material even among the same model.

The weight I quoted was the Australian specification - 1590 kg (EU). Looks like with the US market the M2C is still lighter than the M4

Also bear in mind that the actual figure will most likely be higher than the quoted marketing figure so the spread will be even higher.

I won't be surprised if it runs the same time as an M4 (non zcp)

US curb weight of M2C is in fact higher than the US curb weight of M4: 3600lbs (MT) vs 3565lbs (MT). But again, the new BBK is a standard equipment on M2C in US compared to the German market for example.

If it can trap 118-120 MPH in 1/4 mile then that would be nice but if it needs to be pushed hard to trap 112-114 MPH in 1/4 mile then numbers are far off from M3/M4 Numbers

Nice time! AWD and the ZF8 with that 5.0:1 1st gear makes for a crazy 60' time don't it?

Are you adding the M2(C) or would it replace the 240?
