Purchasing Ultimate Care+ post-vehicle purchase? Process?

I'm assuming I can do this...pay the $600 outside of the vehicle contract. Assuming I can go to any dealer? Can I just give them a VIN# or do I need to physically bring them the car?

Thanks

It is 950 outside the sale.. both options are 300 or 350 cheaper during the order process only.

No idea honestly. They tried to tell me it was 9 or 950 and I said it is 600 on the build site. That is when they told me they were supposed to add it at the time of the order and that results in a $350 discount. They ate it.

I purchased my MB extended warranty from a west coast dealer who's info I found on a forum. Should be able to find someone willing to discount it.

You remember which dealer? Assuming you just called and paid over the phone? Did you pay $600 or 900?

Thanks

That was when I had my C32 Mercedes Benz.

Basically, MB offered an extended warranty. Someone in Los Angles (I think) found a Finance woman who offered him a very good price on the warranty. He post the info and a bunch of us called her to buy it.

My point was any BMW dealer should be able to sell the extended warranty and if one person finds a great price everyone should also be able to call that dealer.

I mean, its listed on the BMW website as $600 https://bmwusaservice.com/ultimatecare

You even put in your mileage to see what you qualify for...I see the $300 as pure profit (i.e.: scam) for the dealer if they are selling it at $900

Going into another dealer on Friday and will be asking

Purchased the 3yr Full Maintenance Plan (Ultimate Care+) today...$600 ... no tax

For those in SoCal, I got it at New Century.

Pretty sure you could order this over the phone...though I may be wrong and they may need to actually read the key in order to finish the ordering process.

Is UltimateCare+ actually "worth it"?

Like I said...

BTW, never bought a car from them, only called once about a car.

Dear:

Exclusive Savings!

From now until August 15th 2017 receive $100 off a one year maintenance plan and $200 off any 2 or 3 year maintenance plan.

I'm sure that it's been a pleasure knowing that you haven't had to think about the added expense of maintaining your BMW because it's been covered by BMW's free maintenance program. I wanted to take this opportunity to remind you that your coverage will end after the original 4 years or 50,000 mile coverage expires. BMW gives you the opportunity to extend this program for an additional 1 year up to 75,000 miles, 2 years up to 100,000 miles, and a 3 years up to 125,000 miles!!! The BMW Extended Maintenance program saves the average driver 30% in maintenance costs and it keeps your "Ultimate Driving Machine" performing the way it was intended to.

These programs offered by BMW of North America, allow your vehicle to be serviced at any authorized BMW Center across the country, giving you the peace of mind knowing the services on your vehicle are performed by certified BMW technicians, using only genuine BMW parts.

If you have ever considered extending either of these plans, now is the time!

Please contact Alyssa Christian at 717-697-2300 - achristian@sunmotorcars.com.

Upgrading either of these plans can be done right over the phone!

Sincerely,

Alyssa Christian

So that is technically the same as the 2016 maintenance warranty...except you have to pay $600 + $1349 minus your $100 discount. Still not worth it.

I was able to get the $600 Ultimate Care for 3 years from a local dealer (no markup)

When I looked, it doesn't seem either of the BMW plans actually cover much?

Details are here: https://bmwusaservice.com/ultimatecare

Covers: brakes (pads & rotors), clutch (for manual 6MT) and windshield wipers

I figured a brake replacement would cover the cost

My point was that you're deal and email I received show the price is negotiable even after delivery.

So you purchased the +3 for only $600? That doesn't sound right but a smoking deal!

I got the full maintenance warranty for 3 years (Ultimate Care +) - that's the price on the website.

I got it for the brakes/rotors which would be well more than $600. Not concerned about the price of wipers and it's very unlikely that the clutch goes in 36k miles. On my previous ISF Lexus wanted $3k+ total for front and rear rotors and pads and wouldn't resurface the drilled rotors.

Ok that makes sense the 3/36 cost $600 so you saved the cost of tax.

Hmmm...that would have saved me $0 on my last bmw. The things that broke were the AC condenser and the convertible roof...

Within the first 3 to 4 years? Why weren't those items covered under the general warranty? The maintenance warranty would never cover something like the roof or the AC condensor
