It won't cannibalize the M3/M4 because by the time it arrives on the market.
Both will be around two years old and heading for the next progressive step. If anything timing is perfect. But yes it will be less localised than before meaning it will not be limited , will be offered in two transmissions , Optional M Accessories and a Cabrio model. It will arrive in BMWs Centenary year 2016. A year that be celebrated in Many ways possible with the highlight being the G30 5er.

new rs3 and cayman are undergoing tests with new 4 cyl turbo with the same power range. mb will have next gen 4 cyl by then. interesting times the next 3 years
