What should the M2 LOOK like?
What do you want the exterior of the M2 to look like? Do you like any renders. Do you want it to share the large fenders of the M4? The large air intakes? Etc.
Personally, I want the front to look a little like the M4. The M4's to big for my taste but if the M2 and the M4 could share some qualities... Obviously the 2 series looks a lot different than the 4 series as it should be. I don't want it to lose it's small nimble qualities. I think every 2 series model looks amazing and just as good if not better than the 4 series. Last edited by BMWjourney; 02-15-2014 at 09:02 PM.. |

If it looks like this, especially from behind, BMW will sell as many as they choose to make...

Do you think it will have a quad exhaust if they make it with a 4-banger? Seems like it would just be unnecessary weight at that point...

I think it's depressing that someone is more interested in what it looks like than what the oily bits will be, and what you'd like it to drive like.
I'd be quite happy if all ///M cars looked like any other BMW as long as all the running gear was ///M (and it had some pukka bespoke comfy ///M seats etc) Style over substance

I always thought my 135 had a lot of M badges, but it is missing the ones from the brakes, quarter panels, and rear bumper. Yikes!

I plan to have fun in the M235 until the M2 gets here, then make the switch.

Was at the BMW dealer yesterday(yea, Easter Sunday) and parked next to the M235i was 135i, a M6 and a M5 ..What a great view, all next to each other so the front could be analyzed closely...my thoughts....the front end of the M235i was just glorious....BMW did a great job with the front end ,,,,next to the 135i which is called" The Bulldog" the M235i looked just great and if i had to pick a animal to describe what i saw...it reminded me of a Dragon....yea, dragons eat bulldogs..LOL.. but the M235i just had that look on it's face, and i dig it....and with the M6 and M5 next to the M235i you could really tell what the M2 is gonna look like with flarred front and rear fenders, larger tires, etc..etc...I actually like the front end of the M235i as much as any other non M car to date and when the M2 comes out it will be hopefully near perfect in looks. The M6 and M5 looked so BIG so big and looked as if they wanted to eat me...they were beautiful as well but in a LARGE way....to large for me..The M235i front light design works really really well with this car..to me even nicer than the rest of the M linup. The M2 will be the "ONE"...and for the record i will take it with a 6cyl or 4cyl....Yea, i am saving my money..
**and for the record the M235i came out just like it should of.....giving the M team plenty of space to do there magic...just like the 135i and the 1M....if they put to much M into the M235i there would not be as much to improve...Typical BMW.... |

For me it will come down to the new M2 or the 2016-17 Cayman S. With both cars having a turbo and similar horsepower the price will be my deciding factor. The M2 needs to come in under $65K with most options, as I figure the Cayman S will be closer to $78K.

the new M3 starts at $62k. You can be SURE that the new M2 will not even be close to that. The M235i starts at what....$43k? I'm thinking $52-55k for the M2.

If it it looks like this, has a tuned N55, M suspension, and exhaust, with LSD, that will be ONE hell of a car. I personally think this render will be the closest to what it actually looks like. The red one just seems off.
