I find with the backup camera, parallel parking is easy. I don’t need parking assist.

I'll be the first to admit that I'm terrible at paralleling. Haha
I live in the suburbs, so parking in the city (not my M...would never take it to DC) freaks me out at times. I've definitely looked for a parking garage and paid more before. LOL |

I'm good unless it's NYC. Imagine trying to parallel park in a busy city with impatient angry new yorkers honking at you.

Back in my day, the sideview mirror tilting down and the parking sensors was a godsend. Haven't tried parallel parking with the camera yet, but I did back up to a curb with it today and it was spot on. Left me 3-4 inches from it. Had the car almost 1.5 years and that's the first time I used the camera.

Yeah, I’m growing a handlebar out again, so I gotta deal with this part of the journey until it’s ready.
I can parallel park my truck and Buick wagon with no problems or cameras, but they don’t have rubber band 19” tires either. I’m soooo worried about damaging this little car. I almost hate having it because I have it on a pedestal. But...totally worth it. Also, what kind of puppy? Miniature doxie? That’s what I have. Not scared. I’m comfortable with my manhood. Your mom is too😎🍻 |

With the right mirror dropping down in reverse, you cant mess up IMO. Plus this car is pretty small. I can usually "one time it" 99% of the time without having to adjust.

Exactly, I lean over to the center of the car and watch the curb through the rear view mirror. I don't trust the line guides in the reverse video. Some curbs are really tall, sometimes there is something else sticking out besides the curb. 10,000 miles and no curb rash...knock on wood.

M2c is tiny too. What happened to putting your arm round back of passenger seat, steering with the other and looking out of back window with your own eyes? Dipping mirror helps keep it tight I agree, but that's all you really need. |
