M2 in LBB: nuance, character, sophistication.
M2 in AW: world's biggest marshmallow. YMMV.

There are going to be a ton of disappointed people when their LBB cars arrive. This color is very green in direct sunlight and looks nothing like it does in the pictures. I was going to go with LBB till I saw an X6M in the flesh. I immediately called my SA and went with AW. LBB is a color that must be seen in person before ordering. Trust me on this.

After seeing the latest M performance pics in white and the motor gp I am glad I chose (forced, lol) AW! It's going to look awesome with the CF bits!

I usually go for the crazy colors on sporty cars and do like LBB. I have seen it at the auto show and under the sun on a pre-release X6M. The green hue is definitely there, but I would be ok with that.
However, it would have been great if the M2 was in a plant that allowed for Individual colors. The thread count on the M2 forum would have blown up! I would love to see all the colors we see in the F80/F82 forum on the M2. Even an AY, SO, or YMB M2 would have been great. And yes, red would be ideal for this car. It has the smaller size and silhouette for it. |

I really like AW much better. However, I really can't see myself driving this car anyway. I would save my $$$ or ??? or £££ and look at a next generation M3/4. Coming from an M235i, I am not sure if an M2 would be that much of an upgrade. Just expressing my own opinion. I hope the rest of you enjoy your future M2s very much.

No doubt this car will be a great drive and it looks pretty good, mostly, but thos e rear lights. I can't think of a production car at the minute with more ugly rear lights.
Any chance of a 2 series face lift BMW to include the M2 and sort them out. Another issue is the long drawn out nature of the release of this car. The car is starting to feel old and over exposed, and it's not even released yet.

After owning a WRX in WRBlue, it gets a little bit had to look at after a while.
Just sold my AW M320D and I have to tell you it looks so nice in the sun. BMW AW would have to be the whitest, white I have ever seen on any car. Oh and yes.... guess what colour my new AW M2 on order will be ? Only option is sunroof as it is fully loaded with options. But the wait time!!!! Last edited by TGDavey; 02-10-2016 at 05:39 AM.. Look what they have done with the F20 series. From ugly to very nice with the LCI. I expect new designed rear light for the LCI (inlcuding M2) which will make the rear view going from ok to super nice. |
