3t3p - the ones you have on in your CFRP photos is for OG M2.

The ones photographed by M50 in his post above are the correct strut covers for M2C/M3/M4 - all the same part # I believe. These are the ones I have installed on my car and they cover the whole strut top incl. M3/M4 reinforcement rings I've retrofitted.

I was gonna say the same thing. Was looking at M2C engine bays in google and his covers aren't the same. I guess he ordered the wrong part or was sent the wrong part.

So i've just ordered new versions of what came in my car anyway?!

x1- Left engine hood/topmount sealing: 51767307863
x1- Right engine hood/topmount sealing: 51767307864

is what I ordered

My steel braces are now out and to be honest the car feels better without them. I think with them the front end is too rigid.

The car seems really fluid now and is a joy to drive just around town. I can see why BMW didn't kill themselves to get the braces altered to fit on the M2C, it doesn't need it/is better without.

For the time being mine are staying out.

Looks like it, and I think I see the problem. Realoem.com incorrectly lists the same part numbers for the M2 and M2C of those parts.

Seen here:
M2C
https://www.realoem.com/bmw/enUS/sho...diagId=41_2176

M2
https://www.realoem.com/bmw/enUS/sho...diagId=41_2176

What you want are these ones from the M4

Thanks anthony, my current fitted pieces just sit on top not covering anything haha.

Can I fit them right on top without removing anything?

I never did this install, so I can't say for certain. But it looks to me like you remove this yellow cover to access it, then there might be a bolt holding the piece on somewhere in the green section, then maybe you have to remove this blue plastic rivet thing too.

Or it's simpler than that and you just remove the yellow cover then the strut tower cover just pops off.

Doesn't look hard at all either way.

Thanks I'll get some ordered.

In day to day driving I feel more confident in placing the car, it's just a bit sharper. Even applying throttle something seems different for the better, maybe I'm full on hallucinating now

Don't miss the front steel braces, I think it's genuinely better without them so don't fret about making it work together.

Retrofitting M4 rubber strut top covers is easy with everything else in situ.....

Yup. While held on to the aluminium brace with plastic push rivets, they just overlap the covers circled in yellow.

Cheers guys. And the M4 seal covers will integrate with my scuttle covers that are from my car albiet modified? Or will they only mate properly with the M4 scuttle covers?

As they sit on top of the scuttle covers, they should be fine. You cut the original items to fit the CF brace?

The garage did cut them yes.

The more I drive with the brace in situ the more delighted I am with the car now it's making me smile.

The car makes sense now and agree with the usual 'should have come from factory' sentiments echoed on here.
