By coincidence (or not ) I passed by 2 OG M2's this evening. The N55 sounds so good! Loved the burbles! Much nicer sound than my 340 mppsk. Really anxious to hear the M2c...

Actually no reason to replace OPFs for a catback system...

Remove mid-muffler and replace muffler and you should be good to go (If someone can manage to get TUV for that).
It was placed in the midpipe i think!?

It is installed in the factory and the car gets type approval with it, else it is not allowed on the roads because of not complying with local emission rules.

Remove it and the car is officially not legal to be driven, because it does not comply to the emission rules in force in Europe right now.

Thanks for the reply, so these new emissions regs are something that will be checked on cars at future annual tests then?

Which means any option that cuts out the OPF is going to be a problem once the car is 3/4 years old and due an MOT.

In the EU, downpipes for M3/M4 and M2c are identical, same part numbers.

So, where is the OPF positioned? Maybe here?

That photo is of the M4, not the M2C. Correct photos are not in the database yet. Leebmann is using M4 images for the M2C. Don't follow those pics.

If you want to know the OPFs are the two little things in between the mid damper and the downpipes, but they look a lot different than on that photo. Shape is different.

I had hunch that those were not actual M2c pictures... Thanks for confirming the above!
I assume the M2c is also shorter. Makes perfect sense that the OPF would be inside those things right before the damper I marked.

Would love a write-up on what you used and anything else you might recommend for someone looking to do the same, might do this myself.

I used rustoleum high temp engine enamel (matte) and painted the underside (everything you can possible paint without taking the exhaust off) just be sure to tape it up really well.

Nice man. Now I am debating if should spray can or use a paint bush method to apply the high rep paint.

I don't mind re applying. Just needs to be done for the time being until other exhausts come out. Do you have a better solution?

Thats an OG M2; Muffler wont be near the ground; M2 OGs arent pregnant with muffler.

Freakin great idea !! Maybe taking it as off and having it powder coated would be a permanent solution ?
