Anyone else having trouble getting the video in motion coded up? It has additional steps after flashing and I have not been able to get that done successfully.

I had this happen recently after coding for video in motion. Bimmercode will tell you that an additional step is needed to ‘activate’ video in motion. In my case it said hold the selector knob forward until it completes. I followed that instruction, but it wouldn’t complete. The app basically hung there. I quit out of the app and then reconnected. On the second try I deactivated video in motion, flashed that, the reflashed it again. At the same time I also selected “install additional formats” (I’m assuming these are video codecs for different video file formats). On the second try the activation step went through immmediately. Video in motion works fine for my 2019 M2C.

Interesting. I'll try that and see. I've tried multiple times and it's never worked for me. Hangs same as your did. Appreciate your help

Does anyone know, while coding various things including bumping to IDrive6 lite(on NBT-EVO), SiriusXM got activated as well?

Mine did and I enjoyed the free Sat radio until I started coding couple of more items then it went back to Preview mode(as I don't have active subscription).

I'd really like to get it back if possible to code it. May be a hard reset somehow activated it?

Sure, you can change it to this in the idrive settings. no coding needed for that.

Has anyone successfully updated from idrive 4 to idrive 5 or 6 lite from a MY 16?

I've done the update via BimmerCode to 6 lite but am not getting any visual changes

idrive 4.0 systems can't be upgraded to any later versions due to hardware differences. Only 5.0 to 6 lite can be done.

I've got a Australian delivered 2017 M2 LCI, CarPlay is only using 2/3rds of the screen, looks terrible!

Some companies out there have been able to do it on certain idrive versions. It appears to be a patch rather than coding.

i am using bimmercode first time use. it loads up and has functionalty and code various segments , but head unit is no data says use backup so i click it and then says no backups. I cannot access my head unit data for coding whats the work around here.

Hey Guys

Been trying to find the proper parameters in Bimmercode to change from the 6.5" Screen to the 8.8" Screen. I didn't spec my car with the Navigation and as a result it came with the Crappy toy monitor.

The display_resolution parameter does not show under 3000HMI in HU_NBT. I think i'm doing something wrong. Would appreciate it if anybody could direct me in the proper direction.
