Well, we don't all live in London. I reset my trip computer a couple of weeks ago, and I'm at 23.4 since then. A fair amount of that was highway miles, which helps tremendously. Also, my commute is 4.5 miles each way, and a mixture of suburban and rural roads - so not much in the way of stop and go.

The tank before I reset it, I got 7 MPG. Race tracks'll do that.
Awesome! I was getting around 7 too on the track. Leaving for Road America in 15 minutes. Will see if my mileage improves this weekend now that I have 4000 miles on the beast.

I definitely did notice a decrease in fuel consumption as I put some miles on my 235. That being said I've heard the M2 runs a tad richer than other N55s, which would also impact your mpg.

And the consumption during my300km trip on the highway in Sports mode was around 11l/100. The return trip on the motorway, Sport, mostly around 150km/h and charged with a hundred bottles of champagne was the same.

27.4 mpg

Over 150 miles highway trip at 65-85 mph in Comfort and feathering the gas pedal. i.e. non spirited driving.

Still in breakin so the speed was being varied and no cruise control.

Otherwise 23-24 mpg average combined for around town and highway.

I am happy with that. Since I can't beat on it during breakin thought I would stretch the gas mileage

Not sure i will ever see this fuel consumption again though.

10K kms on the clock now, and 11.4L average.

Not really impressed on this matter with the M2 to be honest. Together with the 50L tank you end up stopping each 2 hours or so...

Cmon...whats the problem of a 90L tank???!!!

I'm only getting 12-15mpg in the city and 17-24 on longer stretches. I drive in sport mode because comfort is a bit laggy. I'm well over the break in period.

so i toughed it out and went a whole tank in comfort mode with limited spirtited driving, i got 400KM on the tank (filled up with range saying 30KM left) not bad i think the avg was around 11LT per 100KM .. drive conditions were the usually nasty toronto traffic

I think we are all in the same range...so its safe to say, we are all FAR from the consumption BMW homologated. REALLY FAR.

My 2009 3.8 DFI ATM 911....is significantly less thirsty. And I get more or less same numbers I had on my old E92 M3 V8. Again...I was expecting "something" else from a "new era more efficient turbo engine" by BMW...7 years later. Even this is not the most important thing on a car like this.

That is way more then my 10 year old Z4M😳

5000 kms since new and the car has averaged throughout that time 10.4 L/100 km which is 26 mpg (imperial). Mostly country roads but they are speed restricted to 80 kmh so I rarely get to drive over 100 kmh for fear of radar. Some city driving (maybe 15 %). I'm using 95 octane since I find there's absolutely no difference compared with 98 octane. Manual gearbox, driving in Sport on the open road and Traction in town.

I got 26 mpg on my drive from CA to AZ to get the car home, I was driving 80 mph most of the way. I got 20 mpg on my first tank back home which is 50% in town interstate and 50% city/suburban driving.

2018 6-Speed, 4400 mi.

In my 335 e92 when going on a long road trip (900kms) I once managed (almost) to get the acclaimed 0.72l/10kms. I got 0.73 which I think is a real effort.

The very same road trip with the M2 I got 0.82l/10kms which isn't bad but the acclaimed number is like 0.62l/10kms.

I think that once you press the throttle it does consume quite a lot. I also use the engine auto stop when I'm in heavier traffic because I actually think it's unnecessary so poison the air while standing still, it's like "for nothing" so to speak

Mine's pretty much the same.. I don't care about the consumption so much, but the tiny fuel tank is really annoying on road trips. When I did my Euro Delivery I ended up being slower than most people on the Autobahn because I had to fill up all the time (I planned my trip so that I would go through the break in service just as I headed back into Germany)

Yes, it is. I usually get 30-35 l/100km (8-9 MPG) on the track.
