Removing leaves from radiator

I've accumulated quite a collection of leaves and debris (including a cigarette butt!) in the space between the front bumper and the radiator. The lower grille prevents access to clean it.

Is there an easy way to remove this grille and clean out the front of the radiator? If not, is there a good way to clean it with the grille still on?
