I like most of it...but that muffler is just absurd. I can't believe BMW cannot fix this horrendous eyesore.
I also can't imagine buying a pretty expensive sports car, knowing full well I have to immediately spend more money (with "BMW tax") on acceptable looking and sounding exhaust.

And this is why I skipped the Comp. The timing coincides with the S58. Given the higher tolerances I wonder if this will be the first M2 to get it.

I really like the high-performance, carbon fiber/magnesium antenna on the trunk. This is in addition to the shark fin. I heard from BMW-M it's part of the water-cooling kit...

If BMW could only get rid of this hideous gap above BMW logo where the hood ends.. I do not know if there is a word for this, but I assume you know what I mean. Recently parked my 1M next to a M2, and IMO this line ruins the whole look of the front. Same goes for F80/82 and other F models. Thank god that they fixed it with the G models... the F models are really looking good, but for me, this could be a deal braker

It’s a CS, not a CSL. I already said it 3 times in the other CS/CSL thread.
The rest of the info is all correct. - mid 2020 - available after M4CS - bunch of carbon M-Performance stuff - bit more performance Thank me later. |

I am sure this is more expensive to manufacture since it is a much “deeper” part to stamp and in more recent models they went back to the traditional “flat” hood with seam clearly visible. Darker colors can help hide the seams better than white cars

Of course, mostly interested to know whether this test mule features the (since long) rumored 450hp output (S55 engine).
From outside, this seems to be a "regular" M2 Competition featuring several of the M2/M2C M Performance Parts announced last Spring (see here and here). Black 763M wheels with Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires (no surprise either). Several M Performance carbon fiber parts got white camo tape (instead of the usual swirls camo tape): CF splitter (BMW part # 51192449476), CF hood (BMW part # 41612449807) and double-bubble CF roof (BMW part # 41312460277), except for the CF diffusor (BMW part # 51192361666). You can tell the lip, hood, and roof are all wrapped in white. I love the power dome and the look of that spoiler. My M2C will have the CF spoiler added, but I think I like the looks of this one a bit more.
