If you can get your hands on one, put zero miles on it, store for 10 years, your return would be 50% or more

There haven't been many owners that have reported issues here on the boards, maybe one or two? Seems like most of the issues were on early press release cars.

From a pure investment POV, 50% return over 10 years is pretty piss poor compared to any decent buy in the stock market over such a large time frame. And if you can't drive it at all for 10 years then the benefit of having one is diminished as well. Buy it for what it was designed to do.

Free Terrible investment advise!

If you truly got 50% it might be okay, but I doubt you will. I have a low mileage 1M that I bought new in 2011 and my stock performance has WAY outpaced the value of this 9 year old car! But I have driven it and enjoy owning it more then the stocks.

+1. You'll likely do better buying BMW stock than the actual car. Better yet would have been better to buy a TON of TSLA a few years ago, buy a BMW M2 CS, Porsche and and still have profits leftover.

Buying a car and speculation on asset gains is just silly given the market dynamics surrounding vehicle ownership and the innovation around vehicles.

Buy a car you love because life is short and you want to drive it, not garage queen it while it depreciates.

In my experience, you should do the opposite of what the "free investment advice tells you" and the r-squared from shorting / doing the opposite of everything a internet stranger tells you to buy has a better chance over the long term of netting you a profit than listening.

If anything, skip this car and buy the S58 M2 CS instead of eating the gen over gen depreciation that will occur no matter what vehicle you buy.

50% gain in 10 years I would fire my investment advisor btw you are better off buying the SP 500 index than a car.

Exactly. Today's a very non-typical day, but my whole portfolio just jumped about 35% profit today alone.

I said that as a joke I never store cars for money as I can invest somewhere else ... The M4 CS tells us a complete different story ... U guys are so serious
