What's the furthest you've gone?

What maximum distance have you gone on the highway on 1 tank of fuel, assuming you were trying to achieve the absolute most miles per tank?

Is 320 miles possible? (DCT cars will have more range.)

I got 21.8 mpg on my last trip, but that was about 80-85% highway. I also don't like to let the tank get below a quarter tank. I filled up 9.545 gallons and went 208 miles.

Hmmm... more opportunities to get out and take pictures for the “M2s Getting Gas” thread in the photos section!

3 Minute recharge to 100% though

You've got some great roads out there. Mccall seems like a perfect brunch location.

North of McCall to Riggins and White Bird is spectacular and Hells Canyon is just superb. However, Idaho is changing rapidly as people from California, Oregon and Washington arrive by the droves. Soon we will be like everywhere else, crowded with an abundance of people and vehicles. Need to get creative and seek out new roads and destinations for performance driving.

Once you get out into the wild areas gas stations become infrequent, wish the range of the M2C was greater. 450 miles would be perfect. Maybe some company will design a larger fuel thank, that would create instant happiness.

I don't think you could design a bigger tank to fit into the mold location of the current. But you can do what the cannonball guys do (google cannonball run) and add a fuel cell to the trunk that gravity fills the main tank.

Convert this thing into a supplementary gas tank; your mileage range would put electric cars to shame..

I average 22.5 and I don't think I'm driving economically (I used to own a hybrid so my way of having fun was maximizing mpg) it's mostly highway driving but I'm confident I could get over 25 if I try on a long trip.

Wow that extra turbo really dings the mileage per gallon.

At least it has the legs to stretch!

Just did 276 miles on 12.25 gallons. Warning light showed 15 miles remaining.
DCT, and about 220 miles were purely on the highway. 90% manually shifting, however, but definitely driving conservative. Just a small handful of WOT pulls in there.

I think it's much more about the driver than the drivetrain, maybe one of these days I will hypermile for fun but I think I could do over 30 with maximum effort.

My last car was a Honda Accord hybrid which was EPA rated at 32 highway but I was able to get 45 on a 240 mile trip.

I'd agree on the first part. But I'm not sure over 30 would be possible, but certainly high 20's. 300 miles on a tank is definitely doable.

You'd be surprised how good of mileage you can get going 55 mph and drafting 18-wheelers, can be painful but if you're disciplined the efficiency is nuts.

I drove on the freeway 250 miles and averaged about 29 mpg! I was driving very conservatively and in efficient mode, of course. I was really impressed.
