How long after placing your order do you get ED details?

I finally received an allocation and have my car in "order received" status. It's a week 47 build so I'm expecting a January European Delivery. Of course I would like to order my plane tickets and start planning my trip with my German family but I haven't received any actual info from BMW telling me what dates to shoot for.

How long does it take after a car hits "order received" before you know when to schedule the ED? It's been about a week for me now.

After I agreed to a deal I provided 3 dates to my sales guy, he came back next day with the date BMW accepted. Should be pretty immediate if you have an actual 111 allocation. I'm going Jan 18 for delivery.

Yeah turns out my dealer hadn't actually put the ED onto the order yet.

It's gonna feel pretty bad for my team at work with me going on two international vacations and skiing in Colorado all in the span of 5 weeks... but whatever.

If you end up doing ED on the 18th let me know. I met up with another Bimmerpost member also doing ED in 2015 when I did ED on my F80.

Maybe we should make a post every month to see when other forum members are picking up, would definitely be fun to grab some beers!

Free beers at the Welt! I think there used to be a thread in the F80 section for ED dates and who was going to get their car when. That's how I met up with the other forum member since we had ED on the same day.

Garage List
Took about two weeks for mine. I got a big guide book from BMW NA in the mail. Shortly after my CA started asking for passport info, etc.
