Panic button in Key Fob not working

Is this not active from the factory. Do I need to set this from BIMMERCODE?

Press and hold. It takes a while. Like longer than you'd expect.

If it has the alarm system... I guess some countries it might not be standard.

If it doesn't have an alarm system then the key fob will not have an alarm button. So if you have a button, you have an alarm. OP is clearly just not holding the button down long enough.
